Been a customer for years, watched this bank squander investment on social policies in every country imaginable other than this one. This bank is for the upper middle class to feel better about themselves. The wrighting was on the wall when they started closing branches, closed the 24/7 help line. All this has done has proven to me that this bank doesn't care about low income families or people on benefits. Having been a customer for years despite my credit score I was continually denied a loan, until they removed the service altogether. Rather they would insist on a credit card or overdraft which did not suit my needs. Guess the bank is ok if you have a 6 figure balance other than they treat you like you are the issue. Do not recommend.

Worst bank ever without a doubt. Had a fraudulent claim on my account and instead of assisting me they froze my account for over 6 months meaning I had no access to any of my money whatsoever.
I regularly called with wait times of over an hour every single time just to get through to impatient, unhelpful individuals.
They randomly then decided to close my account and then refused to provide me with the credit on my account (all of my money) for several more months.
Your money would be safer being kept in cash under your mattress than with this corrupt bank. I can only think that the positive reviews they have are fake as they have suddenly gone from 1.3 stars to 4.2.
Please do not trust these people with your money.

I have banked with this bank for many years and was recently contacted by Isabella, a member of staff at the Brighton branch to review my accounts. She was very friendly, but professional. She guided me patiently through the various current and savings account options without being pushy and I am very happy with the choices I made. I had to phone her back as I had a query and it was so nice to phone on a landline which was answered by a person straight away, without having to go through all the automated options first. I am an older person and remember that this is how business used to be done a very long time ago. Thank you.

Had some problems logging in to my account with my iPad, called into the branch and I was called into a side office without any wait, problem was solved in minutes by very friendly experienced young lady. Excellent.

Understaffed! The last two times I have visited there has been only one person behind the counter and they always seem to be dealing with some elderly person who has no idea any of their details so I gotta sweat out in the queue because for some reason they blast the heating, can you not just have a second person at the window? It?s becoming comical how often this happens here

Banking app not carrying out transfers to saved payee today, call wait time 30 minutes this morning and 60 minutes this afternoon then lines close at 5.00pm - in effect uncontactable for working people. Been like this for months. Been with the bank for 20 years and will now switch to a bank that offers a service. Shambolic and unethical treatment of customers but always banging on about ethical stance. Complaints process not transparent.

Been with this bank for so many years and supported it when it lagged behind all other banks in every way to only discover it was not worth it. Very poor service and no gratitude to customer loyalty. I cannot see it surviving for long. Still lagging technologically and service just keeps going from bad to worse.

The coopbank back have the worst banking security system recently it was so many transaction without my consent on my account and they let it happen until I found out £ 421 gone and left with £20 nobody has alerted me or put a stop to it or may be they turned the blind eye, I asked the coopbank for some help and the only thing they said is sorryI am a single parent with two kids and unemployed our food electric and heating will run-out maximum in three days I have been with the bank for so many years.Thanks for nothing
