CONSTANT OFFENDER WITH HISTORY
There is a lady there call Lyndsay who made my life a living hell on a visit recently. I was trying to get some help about something and was talking to a manager when she butted in and was extremely rude.
Now I have never had to plead with a customer care representative to leave me alone before but I did with this woman, Lyndsay, who proceeded to tell me she must talk to me then after she finished I said thank you and please leave me only to be met with I am Aggressive and she would ban me from the store. She isn't even a manager.
Now as you do, I went on to tell friends about her only for some of them to have had similar experiences with her.
I have no idea why B&Q wouldn't take note and educate or completely remove this woman from the store as she continues to offend customers.
Very vile and offensive woman. She has no manners or home training, neither is she cultured or fit for handling customers. Totally avoid. She is the only Lyndsay working there at B&Q Lewes road, Brighton. You cannot miss her!

Staff are always really helpful here, and there's usually lots about which is great for me, a person who has no clue when it comes to DIY but tries it anyway, ha!
There's lots of plants and garden stuff, also lots for birds but their suet bars and pots melt in the sun which isn't great as poundland ones last a while. There's also not any border tables or stuff like that, but they do have a good selection.
They have a paint mixing desk and a lot of paint selections for varying needs like metal, wood, and interior walls. However, the focus tends to be on interior and exterior walls. You can only get coloured wood paints (unless it's for gardens) via delivery online, which is frustrating as you then have to pay delivery fees.
They have a good bathroom section and have people who can help you design your bathroom (also with finance if needed, which is great).
Great for general DIY, builders and gardeners alike
Accessible for wheelchairs and lots of free parking nearby.

Bring your ID if you are under 40 for anything here - including drain blocker. Or go next door to Aldi

I wanted to thank Daryl for his help with my recent enquiry. He was incredibly friendly and ensured he understood my needs.
His precise advice meant I could get on with my day after a seamless purchase.
Thank you again Daryl :)

Bloody disaster. Right in the middle of Brighton, no parking. Told items ordered online would be ready to collect in 15 min, because they weren't available in the other Brighton store I thought I'd ordered them from or worthing or Shoreham. So drove all the way there from Horsham to be told they would only be available next day. So I may as well have paid the £6 delivery. What a waste of time and money. DON'T SHOP AT THIS STORE UNLESS YOU ARE LOCAL ON FOOT OR WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME. What IDIOTS at head office thought this was a good location for this type of store.

Just a note to say this B&Q is dog friendly, and leashed dogs are allowed in store which is a big plus!

Asked a shop assistant for advice on decking paint and was told I could use another garden paint that comes in more colours and it would work just as well as specified ?decking paint? that is simply more gritty.
Turns out that was dogsh i t, and £70 worth of paint washed away in the rain! I asked for advice and was misled, what an expensive mistake.

Bad service

Just had a kitchen cabinet door to return, we arrived at store and were told to join the queue at the till closest to the door, with 6 people in front of us it was a bit annoying to say the least especially as it was not busy. Nobody else came along to help the till assistant. Anyone wanting to pay cash also had to join this same lengthy and time consuming till. Once we reached the front of the queue after 15 minutes of waiting we were told by the assistant that we were in the wrong queue all the while and told to go to another till as it was an online purchase!! - SHOCKING SERVICE. Surely they can put more than one person on the tills???????

I wanted to say thank you to I think it was Natasha(with blonde hair and red) for the excellent help, advice and service we received today. I hope that in writing this somehow she gets praise/raise or a reward for going the extra mile to help. It makes a difference when someone goes above just general service and makes an extra effort and it makes you want to spend more there and return! Thank you ?
