My wife and I have ben with Nationwide for a long time. Today and always Anita was absolutely wonderful in helping us resolve a complex problem. She not only went out of her way but phoned me at home to assist further. Anita transferred me to a person who could help resolve my problem from head office which gave me piece of mind. We always found Anita pleasant and professional and she is an absolute credit to your Bexhill office. Give Anita a well-deserved raise! Thank you again, Anita! Two thumbs way up!

VIsited, my Bexhill Branch with a problem concerning my "Card" & "App"not working. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who immediately wanted to know my problem. Working through all possible causes didn't prove fruitful. Her skillful knowledge soon proved a winner.I am now back up and running, A big thank you to this very helpful, pleasant lady.Well done Nationwide, excellent member of staff.Many thanks again,Malcolm Wright

We have been attending Nationwide Bexhill branch and am very pleased and impressed with the service we've received. We have been helped by Matt Comerford who had been excellent. Matt opened 2 accounts for my kids witn no issues. Infact, he made the application process fun and the kids felt really comfortable with him. He supported them throughout the process and even gave them courtousy calls at the end.Matt further helped me with urgent documents i needed last week and was able to get this for me within a couple of hours. I know from experience that other banks would have taken days if not weeks. It was really a pleasure to deal with Matt and i hope that his immediate manager would reward him for such consistent friendly and great customer service. Well done!!

I'm so grateful for the patient, knowledgeable and efficient assistance given to me by the staff at Nationwide. I was really unsure as to what action to take when I received a share of the proceeds from my Mum's house , following her very sad death last year. However staff at Hastings arranged for Matt, the personal banking managerial Bexhill , to call me - and it was such a help. He talked through all the options, giving me clear and straightforward advice without rushing me and without trying to steer my decision in any way. When I had decided what to do , he even talked me through opening an account myself online - and I succeeded! I felt so much better, relieved and less confused after the call. Many thanks Matt and the Nationwide team.

My mother in law bought something from an EasyLife catalogue. Weeks later she received a letter from a subsidiary company of theirs called Gardening Direct? to say they were going to take £70 from her account in lieu of what she MIGHT purchase. She was obviously very upset about this and contacted the bank to tell them and ask for help to stop this fraud.She had to struggle in, even though she is in her 80s and recently was hospitalised after a nasty fall, where she was made to wait an HOUR before she could see someone to ask for help. She was assured that any money taken would be refunded as she had reported it promptly.Then she found that sadly, money had gone from her account. So she contacted Nationwide only to be told to ring the number on the back of her card. She did. After being transferred three times, she eventually spoke to someone who said they couldn?t help her and that she had to phone the Data Manager. She asked for the phone number but was told she could not have it! It wasn?t policy to give out phone numbers! She is not internet connected so had no way to look this chap up but she got an address and has written a letter with no idea if that will actually help at all.She has to struggle back into the branch to see next week if the money has been refunded.Nationwide could not have made the whole experience more stressful, difficult or upsetting for her if they tried! I think they have treated a loyal but frail customer in an appalling and callous way and clearly couldn?t care less!I have advised her to move her account as soon as possible as I cannot believe this would have happened elsewhere. I have also contacted the police Action Fraud division and am seriously considering talking to the media to not only warn them off EasyLife but Nationwide too.Shame on you for rubbish customer service.
