Vast improvement to what the store has been in the past, is it not bout time Lidl built a store like Hastings has in Bexhill.

Lidl is always good value particularly for meat and fish and fresh fruit and vegetables. Always find something out of the ordinary to try

Usual range of Lidl stock, fruit, veg, meat both fresh & frozen. Good selection of wine, beers & spirits with usual mixture of useful & not so useful centre isle ?special buys?. Good checkout staff. Now in serious need of refurbishment, the nearest Aldi has just undergone a refurbishment which makes this Lidl look very old & tired. Access is very poor for both customers & HGV deliveries.Self service checkouts would be welcome if & when refurbishment is carried out.

When Lidl first opened in the Sidley area I was sceptical. However, my curiosity drew me to the store like a moth to a flame. In those early days the livery of the Lidl brand was a garish and often grimy looking melange of yellows and blues....Some of the food items at that time challenged the senses and practicalities for people whose life mantra was always Waitrose, or at worse, Sainsbury. However, today Lidl has 'arrived!' I state categorically that their meats give even Waitrose a run for their money. And their vegetables are not only fresh and appealing, their prices are plunged to depths the Big Three simply refuse to compete with. The other remarkable transformation is in the staff. This may sound a bit harsh, but I'm not certain years ago that the staff had any true vested pride in their company. I'm not sure they received the respect they deserved. However, today, many of the same staff remain, but their outlook and demeanour is clearly one of pride and a sense of family.Today I shop more and more at Lidl. And I'm proud to do so. Even minor little things such as ice cubes have been enhanced to the point not even Waitrose or Marks can compete with the quality. I don't drink alcohol, but I'm constantly told Lidl offer a quality range of wines and spirits. If you've never visited a Lidl before, I promise you - you're missing out! Vive la difference! Even my dyslexic Jack Russell - a Registered Assist Dog, prefers Lidl over the other stores. He knows quality, that's for sure!Do I recommend? Absolutely! And I encourage you to try their fresh bakery goods. Delicious!Fr B+

Local and convenient, good produce only downside is the lengthy queue. Parking available.

This is a particularly bad Lidl, apart from the fresh baked goods, the range of items is particularly bad.

Great friendly staff for asking questions. Their jam doughnuts tasted like white sliced bread with cheap pot jam between and the audacity to charge 35p each when at Tesco you can get five for £1.20!(I'm not saying the tesco ones are wonderful but they have some flavour and added fat and junk rather than sliced bread)

Perfect, managed to get everything I needed and more. Considering the car park was pretty much full, the store itself was fine. Staff were lovely as always. :) will be back.
