I recently purchased a new fitted kitchen from B&Q Bexhill Ravenside, I received exceptional customer service, I started off changing some doors and ended up with a brand new kitchen, all the kitchen team were really helpful.

Today I bought a self standing fan from B&Q. It was rather heavy and an absolutely charming young man called Michael offered to carry it to my car for me. What an asset to your company and a big thank you from me.

My elderly father needed compost for his garden. The bags were all outside the store, near his car. He took photos of the barcodes and went into the store and asked for them, naming them but having the bar codes with him just in case. The till operator told him he has to bring all of them inside the store and to the till to be scanned. This is an elderly gentleman with heart issues. No offer of assistance - just ?bring them ALL in or no sale?. When he asked he was told that it was ?management policy?. Awful customer service. Will go elsewhere in future.

3 times i have been in there recently...it is a huge place and yet i was told on each visit the item i wanted was 'on the line' only... They afvertise 5lrt chainsaw oil...only stock 1 ltr in store... on a shelf thats half emty so ehy not stock a few 5 ltrs ??? Must be a money grab somehow

Absolute clown show. If you know exactly what you want and where it is in their shop, you'll be fine. If you require a single scrap of assistance, you will be out of luck.
Edit, I foolishly went back to B&Q, only for them to tell me to go to Wicks, which sums B&Q up perfectly, they only exist so they can tell you to go to wicks. So, in future that is what I will be doing.

This B&Q store in general are OK but if you get a wrong delivery dont expect an apology. I have had two deliveries in the last year which have both resulted in mistakes, the most recent being last week hence the review. I will never order a delivery again mainly due to the fact I received NO apology both times. The first one they sent the wrong item so I did the 18 mile round trip to take it back. Customer Service was awful, no apology and a gruff member of staff who doesnt know how to engage with customers (i work in retail and i would be appaled at myself if i treated a customer like this). Second time I had the delivery and then as if by magic I had another one turn up on my doorstep a week later (thankfully I hadnt been charged twice). When I advised B&Q they said they would arrange for collection (I refused to drive to the store) and again had zero apology and a total bluntness in their communication. I will never order a delivery from B&Q again.
