We were hot and bothered in the heatwave and quite literally stumbled into the lovely little back garden with our Boxer dog Poppy.
It was so nice to have a drink in such nice surroundings the three of us. We came back a further two times on our break.
Nice pint of peroni and sunshine, plus a very hospitable owner / bar lady. Would definitely recommend.

Gemma really looked after us, reserving a table on a busy night, and serving us drinks within the happy hour. They don?t do food but allowed us to bring a takeaway pizza in. Great atmosphere and great pub ?

A cracking little pub. We were in Battle as participants at the Battle of Hastings event at the abbey. Popped in on the Friday night, and came back the Saturday it was so nice. Friendly, attentive staff, great atmosphere and one of the finest pints of Harveys in the county..

I can't remember if it was this pub or not that I visited the last time here, but I have now. It actually has a pretty awesome beer garden, and the murals are rather amazing as well. Actually, this place was pretty cool, even though the beers were rather dull.

Always go for drinks in The Kings Head when in Battle. It never seems to be overly busy so can get served quickly and find somewhere comfy too suit and chat. The service is always friendly, especially on my last visit.
