First visit to this picturesque village. The landlord was welcoming and friendly, stayed an extra night in the town to spend extra time in this wonderful club. Would return in a heartbeat? ?

Plug sockets and stunning lasagne! Just what I needed after a day?s walking before heading to the campsite. Being a couple mins out from the centre the pub wasn?t as busy as some others so I did not feel rushed. It was perfect.

Chris and his lovely dog Tom are absolute legends and such a big part of the Alfriston community. This pub is always top of my list when I?m in the village ? great food, brilliant drinks, friendly locals like John, and a quirky, character-packed building that just makes you feel at home.
Big thanks to Chris and Tom for the warm welcome and great company every time. Can?t wait to be back! ?

Friendly and very efficient service with good quality food and drink. We were able to get a table in the beautifully set garden area. The only downside was that the menu was rather limited, but perhaps they have wisely chosen to offer what they can do well.

Enjoyed a great pint, the landlord was brilliant - he explained how he had changed the place. Well worth a visit

What a fantastic little country pub. Food is absolutely delicious (particularly the roast tatties...!) Staff are very welcoming and friendly, Chris the landlord is a charmer such a nice chap, makes the pub feel like a home. Out of all the pubs in Alfriston, The Six Bells is by far the best and least pretentious. Proper English pub overlooking the church serving great food, beers, wines and spirits. Will definitely be back...!

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF.
I came here with my boyfriend and took my custom elsewhere after being told I couldn?t use the loo as I wasn?t a paying customer! I explained that me and my boyfriend had only just arrived for drinks, the rude young guy at the bar didn?t believe I would buy something and said he wouldn?t give me a code because he has to clear up other people?s mess. This man is loosing you business. I was here to buy drinks but was desperate for the loo first, which is not uncommon!
There are plenty of other options in Alfriston and your potential customers certainly don?t need to settle for such poor customer service, rudeness and just pure arrogance and laziness.

The best local in the village.
Food to die for. Ambience, absolutely brilliant friendly staff beautiful view over the Green to the church . Try it for yourself add to my comments if you can..
I actually live in London, but this is my local away from home. I come here at least twice a month just for the food and the company.
