Great place for most of your gardening needs, pond, patio, garden lighting, indoor plants, bird feeders, garden equipment, home decor, garden accessories and a great cafe with good food. Staff are friendly and helpful. One of my favourite go to places.

It's quite a few years since we have visited the garden centre and on this occasion it was with the intention of having a bite to eat and of course a look around.
The centre is surprisingly big. Every direction seems to house a different section of plants, real or realistic! Things for the garden, things for the house, even clothing? The plants were in great condition and I don't think I've seen so many nice looking fake ones!
We found the cafe/restaurant which looks great with it's exposed brickwork and wooden beams and it's big! Take a table and it's number with you to order at the tills. 1150 and missed breakfast upto half past 11 ? although I did see someone in the queue in front of me get breakfast after that deadline?
So we opted for the £6.79 for tuna mayo sandwiches in brown bloomer with salad, home made coleslaw and crisps. I didn't think it was possible to put so much tuna mayo in a sarnie! It was rammed! Beautiful fresh bloomer, homemade coleslaw. I'm writing this 7 hours later and we are still not hungry! ??
I'm not sure how it happened but a triple chocolate brownie had magically appeared on my tray and I couldn't eat it all??? Seriously???
There must have been at least a dozen other cake options AND scones, cherry, fruit and cheese options which I was so close to "testing!"
So there was no way I was wasting that huuuge brownie so I've taken half home! We both had large ? coffees. Bill? £21
Something else which we consider as quite important was the cleanliness of the restaurant and how well and efficient the staff were at cleaning down the tables after use with disinfectants. Very very impressed! ?
We enjoyed the whole experience so much we intend to make an excuse to return!
Ps. There is also a pet section which we didn't visit?
