Making an appointment was easy online.Turned up a few minutes late due to parking issues. They were fine and still ready for me. I didn?t have to wait and the staff were extremely friendly and understanding about my lateness.They were all very professional And extremely friendly throughout.All the processes were explained thoroughly.The whole experience was a pleasant one, even when it came to paying.Definitely a good attribute to Pocklington.

From first making my appointment to have my annual eye check,everything went smoothly. Staff helped me with advice re new glasses once I knew I needed them and when I went to make sure they fitted, I had the same Lady who was very nice and helpful.A positive experience for me.

From eye test and frame selections through to delivery of 4 pairs of spectacles, the service, professionalism and courtesy from the Specsavers team were as always, outstanding.

1st pair I got, one of the legs was hanging off, took it back into shop where they repaired it, should never have been presented like that. 2nd pair, 1 of the lenses fell out & lost. For the amount I paid for them, I would have expected better quality!!

Beware of the Pocklington procedure.18 months ago I purchased two pairs of verifocal glasses from Specsaver Pocklington, they messaged me that the glasses were ready for collection upon arrival I was handed the glasses, but no checking tosee if they fitted, was told the fitting was completed when they measured me at the order stage. I wrote to manager and after several emails was told that was the procedure. Basically go away. Last week I called in at Specsaver Beverley and and ask what their procedure was, NOT the same as Pocklington, York so I ordered new glasses. I was also told about Specsaver No quible policy, the policy Pocklington clearly do not operate. It was also highlighted that my current glasses from Pocklington did not fit me correctly.!!!!!!! My percription from Beverly had not changed but my vision has improved with correctly fitting glasses especially when I verifocal

Truly awful experience. Awful customer service. They only seemed bothered about getting my personal details so they can send me text and emails about glasses that I don't need. Didn't even ask me if I or my family wears glasses.. If you need to train your staff (which you do) do it in your time not mine.

My 10yo went for her first eye check today. The shop staff were trying to fill in a form on a computer screen which took 2 people, when they did attend to my daughter they rushed her through and must have said 'its the last appointment of the day' at least four times making us feel like a hindrance. My daughter was really excited to visit the opticians but the ladies weren't child friendly at all. Surely they are used to dealing with children and making them feel calm and explain the process - apparently not. To sum up, it was very very rushed, customer service and customer relations really needs work! We won't be returning. The two stars are for actual optician who was very nice.Should have gone to S?p?e?c?s?a?v?e?r?s? somewhere else

Absolutely incompetent. Booked an eye test for 2pm was left a message by the store on my phone telling me to come at 2.20. Got to the store at 2.10 and was told I'd missed my appointment at 2!!!! Played the message to them and received a shrug and could I go back at 3.15. Not holding out much hope that the actual eye test will be done properly!Went back for my appointment and Julie couldn't have been more helpful. Eye test itself was done quickly and efficiently. Julie was then really helpful with my frames selection. Happy to go back again.

As a Canadian living in the U.K, I didn't know where to go to get my eyes tested. So figured why not try here? Honestly, it was the best experience I've ever had.I've been wearing glasses for 90% of my life and never had such a great experience. The staff were all super lovely, but Mr. Shakur was an absolute gem. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.He explained everything wonderfully and was able to provide information and reassurance to my wife during her eye appointment too. She had a few symptoms which were worrying her and Mr Shakur was able to make sense of it and provide some much needed insight.I would highly recommend a visit here for your next eye appointment. We've already told our family and friends about our experience today. 10/10
