Fish was good, chips tasted dry like they'd been cooked and kept warm. Claims to be the best fish and chips in Yorkshire may be an exaggeration.

We were on holiday in the area and fancied some fish and chips. This venue did not disappoint,all freshly prepared and cooked with batter to die for light crispy and did not detract from the taste of the fish. Both the haddock and plaice were first class. Well worth a visit

We turned up tonight, wanting to dine-in. We were greeted warmly by owners, our orders were taken for drinks and food immediately, and we sat ourselves at a table.
Drinks followed very quickly. Our order was Haddock and Chips, cod and chips, (12) chicken nuggets and chips, one order of mushy peas. In no time our food was brought-the food was absolutely piping hot. My haddock came in a very light batter, perfect for me as I hate thick, greasy batter. This batter was bone dry, crisp, and it didn?t obscure the flavour of the fish. My wife?s Cod was beautifully cooked, and, again, piping hot. My son?s Nuggets were well-cooked- the chicken inside still moist and tender, neither dry, nor greasy.
Full marks for top quality food well-cooked. We would return anytime for food and service as good as this.

I had a truly amazing fresh, tender piece of cod here. And they don?t go overboard with the batter like most chippies do. I would absolutely return here. Yum, yum, yum.
Pity they don?t have cod roe on the menu though.

I rarely get to visit chip shops up north but they are always a great treat. The haddock was amazing my cheesy chips were perfectly cooked and everyone in the party agreed the portions were hugely generous. We dined as kings. I regret not getting a bag of scraps.
