Liquor Stores in Pocklington, East Riding Of Yorkshire

“We had a drink here one evening and found it to be the most civilised place to drink during our stay in Pocklington. Interesting wine list and well-kept Ossett Yorkshire Blonde. So we booked dinner for a couple of nights later. Downstairs was heaving and we were shown upstairs to an empty room, but it filled up pretty quickly and was pleasantly buzzy, plus we had a nice view up the market square. Service was excellent. The food was good but not outstanding. Veg spring rolls were a little stodgy and my flatiron steak wasn't as flavourful as I'd hope. Some shredded garlicky greens were a slightly odd side for steak. A salmon portion was large and well-cooked. The wine list starts at a relatively high price but the £27 merlot we opted for was excellent.”
