by far the best carvery in hull, the staff were helpful and could not have done more to make you feel welcome, the food on offer was amazing, i had turkey which just melted in your mouth, my partner had beef and could not believe how tender it was, could not fault this carvery at all.

Standard Toby carvery. Decent food at a decent price but don't expect it to be all singing, all dancing.
Staff were very friendly so would recommend if you fancy a carvery

Jolly good carvery, though a little disappointing that there was no mac and cheese for the youngest in our party on a Sunday evening - it was all she was craving.

Really disappointing experience tonight.
Booked for 4:30, arrived for 4:15 to lots of staff milling around in the bar area. Was told that we had been checked as arrived and we would be seated as soon as possible. By 4:45 atleast 5 other tables who had walked in after us had been seated.
I asked a young girl when we would be seated and she said she would check. As we started preparing to leave a table was miraculously ready. The whole time, atleast 6 staff stood in the bar area complaining about how cold they were, complaining about staff rotas and stood drinking red bulls.
Very disappointed especially trying to them keep two young children occupied. Won't be returning.

Usually good food here. Not this time
Pork, beef,gammon dry with crispy edges, reheated roast potatoes, some even had dried gravy on them ,most of veg over cooked (mushy) and bland mash potato tasted like packet mash also bland dessert was worse,warm chocolate brownies (joke) was cold as the ice cream and harder than my partners biscotti biscuits..waitress had to take it back as it was too hard to eat/bite into..
Looks like the special discount offer was just to get rid of excess Christmas food or chef having a bad day ?

As we entered it says ?wait here to be seated? we did? in this time 6 staff members walked past us looking at us at each time then having a chat in the room behind the bar laughing loudly. A lady then came over and was quite rude and ?you?ll have to sit by the bar as there?s no space? the carvery restaurant area was near enough empty but anyways. Before this lady arrived we were stood 8 minutes. I then went up to the bar where again the blonde bar tender just proceeded to organise glasses while looking up at me multiple times. She then came over and says ?what do you want? while sounding fed up. We noticed this particular lady was slamming down glasses and didn?t address the customers etc she just slammed the drinks down.
The food was disappointing to be honest, I?ve been afew times and it?s been much better. There veg on the carvery was all pretty much empty. Gravy like water and no sauces roasties super dry. We were there at 5pm.
