Clean and staff were lovely... wasn't expensive so I suppose you should not expect too much.The room was far too warm for my taste.The shower pressure was poor but it was hot .The location was excellent for my needs...I'm not sure I would stay here again.

I must say my stay at the Gilson hotel was brilliant. My room was just what unneeded and the reception staff were first class. Right on the doorstep of town and right next to the station. Had a blast and would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Pleasantly surprised with the room, wasn't expecting much but got a room with a seating area and a separate bedroom both with large tvs in. Also a corner jacuzzi bath (don't know if it worked as didn't try it). We did have an issue with the room as the door card entry was constantly beeping and had to be changed, the girl on the reception strangely offered us a full refund if we wanted to check out and find somewhere else to stay before they had even tried to fix the problem. We went out and by time we returned the issue had been resolved. Value for money and great location. ?

Lovely hotel only stayed one night but will stay again polite receptionist hotel near train station and bus stop everything near by shops , pubs, Bed was very comfortable but not enough pillows no light above t station

Although in a fantastic part of the city and near the old town, it needs some serious updating. That been said, the bedding and towels were clean. We only stayed one night but won't be returning.

The hotel was easy to find, very clean and comfortable. The price is worth it, right near everything I needed for my trip. Even though I was on the road side, you couldn't hear the traffic once you close the window. The staff were very welcoming. Would definitely use again

Very happy with my room. Large and very clean. Lovely bathroom again very clean. Would be happy to stay there again. Only drawback is no carpark and I left my phone charger behind and it was not handed in

Really enjoyed my one night, big spacious double room. Nice sitting area with a big TV. Nice bedroom and really comfortable bed, slept so well. Big bathroom and spotlessly clean. Will return without hesitation.

Stayed here for 1 night during the week for work. It's nothing special, but it's clean and reasonably priced for the centre.Bars and restaurants on the doorstep and 10 second walk from the train station. There's street parking available after 6pm too.My only gripe would be the plastic mattress covering. It made it a really hot and uncomfortable night. I wouldn't stay again for that reason.Rooms: In need of freshening up but clean and spacious enough for 2.
