They are dishonest.
Last Sunday we ordered about £50 worth of clothes, then we cancelled the order because we also added 2 pairs of sports shoes. So, with the discounts, we paid over £150. The refund was stated as 2-5 days. We tried to chat with SportDirect on Friday, but they shocked me by saying that the 5 days had not passed. On Saturday, they told me to wait until Saturday because the banks work slowly and it takes a long time for the money to arrive. Today - Monday morning - they said that they can't do anything; they will send an email to another department that is responsible for this, and they have a new 2-day waiting period.
I don't understand. When we pay in the store, the money arrives immediately. But it doesn't go back that fast, and not even within the 2-5 days specified by SportDirect! This is unacceptable! Never again SportDirect!!!!
There are other sports stores; there is competition!

There is a fantastic range of sports shoes ordinary walking boots, socks, and outdoor clothing. Leisurewear tracksuits they also had a very good selection of rock band t-shirts, including quite a few by The Rolling Stones, although I didn't notice them this morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly, although I was there at a very quiet time. Got exactly what I wanted, in and out in 15 minutes.

Realy freindly staff...brilliant management team I can honnestly say this shop is one of my best shops to go in ...fantastic customer service... always make you feel so well come... I would recommend this shop to any customer....outstanding customer satisfaction..

Staff weren?t very nice upstairs and camera pointed straight into the changing rooms upstairs it was awful experience due to the lack of privacy and doesn?t make me want to shop at sports direct again :( don?t recommend

My fiancé went into your kingswood store (hull) with his father on 04/05/23 and bought a pair of Nike Pegasus 39 Sn15 shoes at the point of purchase the person serving him and his father stated there was a slight pull in the shoes material. He also stated that he would put a staff discount on the shoe and they would be returnable if the condition worsened. This conversation was clearly remembered by my partner and his father as they joked to the person selling the shoes (assistant manager) of the discount being much higher than it the 10% he actually stated.
On 07/05/23 Lewis and I returned to the same store to return the shoes as the pull had become very long considering the amount of time he had possessed the shoes for and having only worn them once. We went to the upstairs counter and spoke to a woman there who said she would have to get her supervisor as the person he had bought the shoes from had put the shoes from had not in fact put the shoes through with a 10% staff discount but had put them through as shop spoils. Not what he had clearly stated to my fiancé and his father. When we spoke to the supervisor on shift she asked for a description of the man which lew couldn?t really remember other than it was a man and the date/approximate time in question. She left and returned about 5 minutes later saying she has spoken to him and that he had said ?I said the item would be non returnable if there is a discount on it and I never said staff discount? when Lewis questioned this as he and his father had clearly remembered this aspect she condescendingly said to Lewis despite him mentioning he had a brain injury ?he?s worked here for 25 years and is the assistant manager? then stating ?you can contact head office? abruptly. My partner and I left the premises he then returned to get the peoples names he had spoken to and when asked to obtain his receipt when he returned with it I was with him and the person he was speaking to instantly became condescending towards him and began reciting the same lines regarding the assistant manager and working there for 25 years. Lewis asked for the woman?s name who he spoke to upstairs. The man he spoke to near the front door got quite rude to him when lew questioned which of thems payroll number he had been given as he had no quarms with the woman on the tills just the supervisor. Lewis returned to the car feeling like he had been publicly humiliated by the staff in this store and does not wish to return to any of your stores again due to his treatment as he has been made out to be a liar and a fraud by your staff. Where as in reality it is you ?assistant manager who?s worked here for over 20 years ? who has been misinforming customers of the fact they would be able to return the item if the faut became worse.
I and my fiancé are completely and utterly disgusted at the way he has been treated. In your stores. He should not be left embarrassed by your staff and with a faulty item despite it being explicitly stated to him on purchase that it could be returned.
We have come to sports direct for years for countless amounts of items and I know for a fact this has definitely put us off shopping with you

Was looking for running shoes and staff member came up and recommended ADDIDA SAMBA would you believe. Absolutely clueless about their products. Addidas samba were ok if I wanted to end my life in a wheel chair with shin splints and knackered knees.
