Refused a hamster due to an 'insufficient cage' and was quickly directed to a pets at home cage which was half the size than the one i had bought?! We were told the height on our cage was an issue (even though its at the max height intended and has hammocks etc breaking any potential falls which i had taken photos of) the lady agreed mine was bigger but then said the bar spacing was too great (0.9mm) and said 0.5mm was what was needed - even their cages arent 0.5mm!! Couldnt make it up. The staff have no idea - all about money making and purchasing inadequate housing from them. I wont be stepping foot in a branch again.

We have just lost our beautiful French bulldog ? buster and he loved the girls on reception they was really amazing with him our hearts are truly broken and we are grateful that you took care of him ?? xx

Amazing staff, happy to help, offer discounts, customer service from a young girl on till was exceptional. She was explaining to me how to get the discount cause I didn't know I could get one, and not the 10% discount was important, but the way was explaining to me .
People who love animals are good people, and that you can feel it when you go to a Pet shop, the staff are amazing most of the time.
This is my favourite Pet shop !

The staff was was very helpful and nikki is so helpful and had plenty of knowledge and experience on questions I had to ask she showed she was a caring and you can see she enjoys her work and the animals

I called in for some live food for my axolotl and found a good selection, but a lot of the packets had a fair amount of dead ones in so not very good quality or they were old stock. After choosing my Mario worms in a small tub .( Unusual as there big worms and normaly in the larger boxes. ) cashier was nice and polite and offered me the store card. I swapping them into a larger tub once at home, I fed the axolotl as usual but never got to finish the box of worms as they were all dead within a week, unlike from other places that I usually get them from lasting over a month. Needles to say I will get them from my usual supplier . When my daughter bought fish from there, they only lasted a week or so as well.

As always in pets at home.no service. Horrible. Why bother come to work if you hate it.every ti.e I need to ask someone is noo e around and when you find one you can tell how unhappy they are and don't want to help you )))))))))) Horrible especially that one paticularly shop
