We found the atmosphere to be very friendly but unfortunately the food was terrible. I ordered prawn cocktail for starters with a warm baguette. It came with some sort of topping on the prawn cocktail which was awful and the baguette was not warm but I can only hope someone had tried to toast it as it was rock hard with no butter. I ordered the kiev for mains, but when it came there was no garlic sauce in the centre and just butter congealed on the side of the plate, even the chips were terrible. I ordered a dessert thinking surely they can't mess that up. I ordered a chocolate stack it which I should be grateful that it was no more than a mouthful as it tasted like plastic. The staff were friendly.

Come here quite a lot, steak pie is my favourite, but have tried most of the menu and not been disappointed, my wife loves the salmon supreme and the strawberry cheese cake cocktail, the staff are very polite and friendly

Fish & chips 4/5; nice fillet of fish in golden crispy batter, chips really good, served with tartare sauce & mushy peas;
Grilled Chicken in pepper sauce on boulanger potatoes & side of vegetables 2/5;
I love pepper sauce however this just tasted of raw peppercorns, very unpleasant, the grilled chicken was tough , the boulanger potatoes didn't look appetising and didn't taste good, there was what appeared to be some sort of lumpy mashed potato alongside the other potato dish; both looked like leftovers as did the vegetables...
I was so looking forward to trying Nu Bar's food as it's a while since we've been and it always used to be flavoursome and value for money.... sadly we won't be rushing back....

Great food. Staff very friendly and attentive can get very busy and bit loud evenings. But great to meet up for catch-up lunches. Not had a bad meal and good range of drinks. Toilets not the best but everything else spot on ?
