Since we have had a a baby we have always used mamas and papas and had no problem but our experience at the hull shop yesterday was poor and disappointing. We wanted to buy 2 items a new car seat and high chairwhich were both instock and brought out to the front when we paid the payment didn't go through I was told that they have been experiencing problems with transactions we was told they would send an email to there team and that they would get a response the following day I rang the shop asking g if this has been sorted in which the response I got was "well its Sunday and not alot of people work Sunday" customer service was poor and I feel I was told a blatant lie about we ould be able to have the products on the Sunday I then asked if it went through on Monday can they deliver it for free which was said to us in the store they would do this again this was met with "we don't deliver on Mondays" I am disappointed as we love shop there but I think unfortunately we won't be going back in a hurry. we have since bought the products from somewhere else and couldn't be happier with service.

Matt, there are not enough thank you?s in the world for the wonderful service you have given, since we had an issue with our pram that really upset my Grandparents, who mainly used the pram we had a problem with. As a busy working mum, there are not many hours in the day to deal with issues that arise out of the blue, so I was so relieved how quickly you dealt with everything. Being quick to react, informative & thorough with your inspections is one thing; but how much you cared about our situation is another thing all together. You put out little girls safety at the forefront of everything and we will be forever grateful for your attitude in dealing with the issue we had! As somebody that works in a highly dangerous & reactive environments daily, I can honestly say your service is the highest I have ever encountered. Thank you for everything! As first time parents looking to buy anything for a baby can be an absolute minefield so me and my partner booked a Buying for Baby session at the Kingston Retail Park in Hull. We was greeted by a gentleman named Matt who is actually the store manager and who was doing our one to one service for us.He was super friendly and polite, but most importantly he was extremely knowledgeable about everything from car seats to prams which helped us to make our decision when purchasing an all in one travel system with pram.He answered all of our questions, talking us through a number of different prams and seats before helping us to make the decision on which one to purchase. He wasn?t pushy or pressuring us (some shops I know are like this) and spent a lot of time talking to us, answering all our questions and really getting to know what it was we was wanting. His knowledge of the products sold themselves and he is a credit to the store.It was also a lovely bonus that because we bought a pram we would be getting a £100 gift voucher to spend too!Thank you Matt!Jasmine & Kye

Booked an appointment in April to buy everything for our Nursery, with a delivery date of today. Paid 2 weeks ago (within the required timeframe) and we were due the large items today. As we hadn't heard anything we called, and were advised that the nursery furniture is out of stock, and we won't now receive it until after the baby arrives, plus one of the small items we ordered we were only told today it is no longer available! WHY WAS THIS NOT COMMUNICATED TO US AGES AGO? We could have cancelled the order and gone elsewhere, but no, you took our money and then made us call you to find out where our order was! Plus the voucher was being used (only reason we purchased with Mamas and Papas) to buy a monitor and bouncer, of which we'll have to buy using our own money when we have already forked out enough! and will actually have no reason for the voucher anymore, as we do not require any more >£100 items.

My partner and I visited a little before closing time for some advice on what to look for in a child seat. Katy was helpful, polite, extremely knowledgeable and gave us some insights on to what?s useful and not useful in a seat, a base and any accessories.She let us know about any offers on at the time and which models would fit our budget. Both the store and Katy are highly recommended. Thankyou.

We were served by Ellie when choosing our car seat at Mamas and Papas and cannot fault her! We had just left Pram world after being pushed and pressured into looking at more expensive car seats but Ellie did nothing of the sort, she gave us her professional opinion and left us to make our own decision in our own time. Cannot recommend enough

My husband and I went into M&P?s today in Hull to look for a stroller for our little boy. We thought we knew what we wanted, after many online searches, but when we checked out the strollers they weren?t what we thought they were. The team were fantastic, especially Jessica, who left us to browse, fold the strollers, push them around but was on hand to help us when we got stuck or confused. A big big thank you for your time and patience, all the staff were amazing and extremely helpful, thank you very much!

Had a top notch experience, Kerry was so helpful, very knowledgeable about the products and we found everything we wanted, we spent 2 hours in there and it flew by, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, much better than shopping online.

My partner and I went to this store and we had Natalie help us show us some strollers and cot beds. I cannot fault Natalie for her customer service, patience and strong work ethic. Natalie was enthusiastic and despite the fact I know nothing about strollers she wasn?t patronising at all. We won?t hesitate to visit this branch when we need items for our upcoming arrival.Well done team. A great shopping experience was had and it was all down to you. Thank you :)

We travelled some distance to look at a particular make and model of pushchair here that the website said was available in store only to be told that it has not been stocked for months.At the best of times it's not fair on the in-store staff that the company lies to potential customers just to get them into the stores and then expects the staff to deal with the frustration, and during a pandemic it's unsafe to encourage people to travel and shows a clear lack of care for the people working in the stores.Further evidence that the company still isn't considering it's stores to be a showroom for the website is that the staff were having to suggest that we take the products to near the door to see the colour due to the poor lighting. It was quite embarrassing for all.Hopefully the parent company starts to care a bit more about its stock management and showrooms, and I hope that until then the staff are being well compensated for the position that they're being put in.
