“Danielle and James Barron were married on the 9th Sept, I would like to thank every member off staff they were all superb from start to finish, I can not thank them enough. The service went well , even with grandson Henry's vocals. The food was amazing. We spent a lot of time outside as it was the hottest day of the year and nature supplied a lightening show in the evening. The rooms and cottages were all lovely and very clean, breakfast set us up for the day. Many many thanks from Danielles parents Carolyn and Phill Fisher and baby Henry aka tank”

“Thank you Emma, for all your help choosing our new sofa. It was a pleasure going into the store and feeling relaxed, not pressurised to buy anything and very friendly with a lovely atmosphere in the store. The parking was great, especially if you have mobility issues and it is lovely getting refreshments and cookies to keep you going. Thank you to all the lovely staff.”

“Our stay at the standard plus room was definitely... alright, it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't really good. Good things: superb location! The location is absolutely amazing! Close to the city centre and the train station which is great because we came by train, also serves as a great view if you are in the standard plus rooms. Amazing and helpful staff. I consider the staff amazing because you don't really notice them. They are just in the background, but when you need them, they are always there for you! Room in itself was surprisingly good as most of the time I would find countless problems. However, this time, I really struggled to find anything wrong. There was some dust in hard to find areas, but really, all forgivable. Bad things: not a lot, but there are a few first off, the food. The food isn't good, don't get me wrong, but the fact that you are paying nearly £10 for it seems a bit sketchy, there are some hashbrowns, sausages, beans, and toast but nothing that would really justify the price.Rooms: We ordered the plus room and... it was actually quite surprising. I really thought everything would be in worse condition because of my previous experiences, but everything was really neat! Room well cleaned and vacuumed, bed tidy, and the equipment (coffee machine and kettle) were clean too!Food & drinks: It was okay... but that's all I can really say. There were some hashbrowns, sausages, beans, toast, and a few other things here and there, but to be honest, I do think it is a bit overpriced for what it is.”

“Ideal to end a ride along a river (Trent). Good value, great staff, menu not extensive (especially for veggies & peskies), food fair for the price.Nearby activities: It's close by the bridge, & on good access, but remote from other facilities.”
