Ordered online only to be called that they no longer needed as someone called on the day and they reserved for them then I walked into shop to find the one I reserved on the floor but all staff told me that they don't have one in stock and cancelled my order - next is better as on previous visit spend half and hour on till as staff seemed not knowing what they doing . On the shop floor had to wait because she didn't know how to pass pair of boots from warehouse and waiting forever. Manager on the day behaviour was playing game of excuses that head office is at guilt . Absolutely useless. Making sure to try to sell something else if you try online . Staff really needs training and getting to know how as I became training ground because they reserved 1 product twice and I was the unlucky one. Took them 2 days to walk across the shop to actually check. Added picture of my order that they reserved for someone that called on the day . Shop has plenty but staff not worth a penny and they don't do anything to change it

Showing items are in stock on-line, only to arrive and find out they're actually out of stock. This isn't the first time this has happened and I won't be returning. I was told by a member of staff to ring ahead first just to make sure the item is available. I think they should keep an accurate stock count rather than me having to call them and check if everything I want is In stock before I drive down, well I think I'll order elsewhere online and save money thanks.

Wanted to purchase, new boots, jacket, gloves and socks. Came out with a jacket.
There were no staff on hand to help me, a husband and wife and 2 ladies all wishing to try on shoes.
I told 2 members of staff.
Morale? Doesn't seem very high.
Come on go outdoors! We would have potentially between the four of us have spend over a grand!
Look after your staff and they'll look after your business.

Checkout process is always so slow here. How do they manage to make it so slow and cumbersome? Painful as queues build and poor staff then get flustered. Presume managers are sneaking off for a crafty fag somewhere

Went in to get a lightweight poncho and a day pack for a holiday in Asia....came out with walking boots, walking shoes and a bucket of useful extras because the prices were so reasonable. Have signed up (£5/yr to unlock the discounts) and on this first trip I have spent >£200, but saved over £200 on retail prices. Will be using again.

Went in for some Ski Trousers. Member of staff was really helpful and happy to help us find them as we?re just out of season for them!
She was friendly and attentive, we were in and out within 10 minutes
We are GO members for a reason as the stores are always great ??

Absolutely appalling customer service from who we were told was the manager was actually a supervisor Katie, and also acting Manager Laura. As a family who love camping we spend a lot of time and money in Go Outdoors. The shop completely refused to listen and accept to return a faulty item still under warranty despite Vango company insisting they should. The staff used raised voices and laughed at us with their responses along with the Vango customer care team who said she has never spoken to someone so rude before and terminated a call with Laura. Both employees then refused to give us their names to make a formal complaint with Outdoors head office, unfortunately for them their incompetence failed them. Will certainly not be returning to this branch any time soon.

Katie, the manager went above and beyond to help us with in search of our roof tent from self described "that customer" with humour and grace.
