Really disappointed. Don't go for the buffet menu. I came here and had wonderful authentic Indian food a few months ago. Ash dealt with my table back then and he was lovely, well mannered and did the right thing. Tonight (10/8/25) the buffet menu felt like a very English based menu, I asked for some naga- he brought chilli pickle, no issues. Ordered some veg rice, was delivered as squished like very very overcooked. Dry chicken, dry lamb. Peshwari undercooked, doughy like an undercooked thick crust pizza. Thing is, the flavours were there- the technique and general undercooked/over cooked was bad. Explained immediately and received an apology but nothing else was done. Went to pay because we didn't want more bad food, you know the 4,3,2,1 buffet- couldn't get passed the 4 left food. Wouldn't recommend. Explained to the cashier, he apologised and gave 20% off and said why didn't you say anything....I did...the waiter said I did...shame really. Enjoyed the main menu, tipped big when I was there last. Now I can't enjoy being there at all. Was surprised. Better off at Raj Pavilion ??

Really tasty food! The chana masala is delicious! Lots of vegan and veggie options and the menu is clearly labelled. Top staff too. Looking forward to returning!

Just had the most amazing Indian food. Every dish was tasty, fresh to order and prepared to the highest standard. The staff was friendly, polite and couldn't do enough to help us. They helped us decide what dishes was best and there wasn't one that we didn't enjoy. I would definitely recommend banarasi and we will most certainly be back.

Stunning meal eating from the all you can eat buffet menu, the starters are among some of the best we've had from a indian, the lamb chop and pakora were perfection!
Only criticism would be ordering follow up rounds of food can be difficult, particularly when you have a time limit on the sitting. But when you do get the staffs attention they are always helpful.
One improvement, and I appreciate it looks nice. But when ordering starters in particular, rather than a single plate for each portion even when ordering multiple of the same dish, each with garnish salad etc, one big platter would suffice saving on food waste, dishes etc.
Will still certainly be back next time we are in hull!

Food was undercooked every very small portions for your money not worth it all and the worst part is the service absolutely terrible worse I have ever received they ignore you and just serve there own like others don't matter I won't be going again and I don't recommend it
This is my reply food definitely isn't ready in 10-15mins we had 4 really small portions of food for £23.99 which took 1hour and 20mins to come we wasn't the only customers how was having this problem I have just taken my time to review you and they haven't they don't care just leave you sat there. And if you look at the other reviews (the positive one they haven't even thanked there customers for a positive review) they have only taken there time to reply to the negative review and can't take the truth trust me unless your one of there own you won't get fed on a busy night

I went last night as it was my birthday meal with my partner and family, unfortunately the service was awful, we ordered our starters which took 45 minutes to come out then we was left waiting for another 1hr 20 minutes before we could order again then we had to ask a member of staff to take our orders which we shouldn't of had to have done, not everybody got what they had asked for either, I understand that they were busy but they were also very under staffed and the place was packed out. The food was very small portions we also went home hungry for what it cost its certainly not worth the money and we definitely won't be back as we shouldn't have to go home and eat again.

Lovely food but no service payed for buffet and got served 4 prawns and 4 tiny peices of chicken in 2 hours..... others was waiting for 1 hour 40 mins for first dish... not good guys I had to eat mcdonalds on the way home... plz avoid guys you will be very disappointed for sure!!!!!

came in on Saturday night, made to feel welcome immediately by all of the staff, exceptional service, food came out quickly and was absolutely top drawer!
very reasonably priced and one of the best experiences we've had eating out in a long time.

The food here is great! Eat in the restaurant, or you can order it to be delivered. Sometimes ordering a delivery from restaurants can be hit-and-miss, well not at Banarasi. The customer service is good, relaxed, nothing special, but still decent. The best Indian food I have ever had in Hull so far!
