At lunch the chicken curry was nicely spiced with a nice flat bread mango chutney and rice but not sure about the chicken as it was quite tough. The luxury hot chocolate was excellent but the same could not be said about the coffee which was quite disappointing. It was on the expensive side for what it was hence 3 stars.

Afternoon Tea during the week there was lovely, so booked a Sunday lunch. Very disappointed. Parsnips dried. Carrots not cooked fully. Mash tasteless. Gravy thin. Ordered beer, brought cider. Such a shame, as we enjoyed our previous visit there. Upstairs room at the front had a street view that was nice. Stairs were challenging. Toilet clean.

Didn't know the area so went in the first café we noticed. So glad we did. Staff were friendly and the food was gorgeous. Premises were done out lovely too.Will definitely go there again when we revisit Howden.

Just had a proper tasty sandwich and a lovely cuppa tea. Definitely recommend to anyone. Nice to find a place that serves lovely food and offers great service.Vegetarian options: A few selections. But very tasty

What a lovely place, stopped by on our way home, and found this little gem (on a Sunday morning).We had breakfasts & posh eggs with smoked salmon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.Reasonable price too.

Went for Sunday lunch today with my parents. Food beautifully cooked and piping hot. Very friendly service, plus everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. Strongly recommend.
