We stopped here for some lunch on 17/08/25. The place looked nice and the outdoor seating are was pleasant with great views.
I ordered a carvery, and everything looked and tasted like it had been sat there for hours and microwaved 10 times over. I have never sent a dinner back, but this was awful. I asked for them to replace it with scampi and chips. The scampi was nice, but the chips were shriveled but solid inside, and I couldn't eat it.
Awful food and high prices. And sadly, every staff member look like they couldn't be bothered to smile. It was a rather depressing meal.

The Country Park Inn, located right next to the iconic Humber Bridge, is a welcoming pub and restaurant open to everyone. With its scenic riverside setting, it?s a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, or tuck into a hearty meal. The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, making it ideal for families, couples, walkers, or anyone passing through looking for a peaceful spot with great views.

Called in for a Sunday lunch after a nice walk along the foreshore. Not for the first time the service we recieved was appalling with the Exception of one young lad. Walked out after waiting for over 40 mins for someone to come to the carvery to serve us. Staff all arguing and the manager nothing short of useless. He made deogarity comments and was sicastic to my partner after she complained and asked for our money back. Will never go back which is a shame as the location is excellent. No staff training so the owners Should be ashamed

**WORST CARVERY EVER**
To start the service was very poor. The girls talking at the bar not paying attention to customers, all the food was very bland including the vegetables. Tasted of nothing. Nothing was homemade and the instant mash was disgusting, Toby's has nothing to worry about. Nobody asked if the food was ok! If this place has regulars they clearly have no taste buds.

£5 to park - supposed to be refunded at the bar but told by staff not possible because I had paid by card! Eventually got refunded by the manager but not before a load of hassle.
Then sat down to eat and wished we'd not bothered. Chicken and prawn in garlic creamy sauce consisted of one pice of (likely frozen) chicken. 3 prawns a pile of peas and some rice - was just like a cheap microwave meal. Not even tgat good actually because it was bland and tasteless
Far far better options folks give it a swerve
Stay clear.

9th July 25. We had a wake in the large function room , with over 250people .
Couldn?t fault the service from the start to finish we received from the managers to all the bar staff and the chefs for the buffet .
Many thanks once again , we would highly recommend you.

Reviewing the bar and restaurant only ? we called in for snacks and a drink on a hot day. Onion rings and desserts. Food was good, if slightly pricey and the brownie was a bit small, but the lemon posset and strawberry dessert was great. Onion rings basic but tasty and a decent portion size. Very friendly service and the window tables have a good view over the estuary.

Fantastic event room space and views with great service from Adam, Charlotte and the team to organise our group dinner. Compliments to the chef from all for quality of food, generous portions and due diligence of dietary requirements.
Will definitely book again, thank you!

Title: Once a Gem, Now a Disappointment
My overall Rating: ?????
I recently visited the Country Park Inn in Hessle, a venue that used to be a favourite of mine thanks to its fantastic location near the Humber Bridge and its once well-kept premises. Sadly, it?s now a shadow of its former self.
We dropped by on one of the hottest evenings of the year?right around the summer solstice?expecting a lively atmosphere and a bustling beer garden. Instead, the place was almost deserted. It was hard not to notice how tired and unloved the surroundings felt. The outdoor woodwork is in need of repair, and cigarette ends litter parts of the grounds. It gave the impression of a venue that?s no longer being properly cared for, though a thorough clean and some maintenance could go a long way.
Service didn?t lift the experience either. Staff appeared disinterested, and while polite enough, they lacked the warmth and attentiveness you?d expect?especially when you?re paying £5 a pint. At those prices, you anticipate a certain standard that simply wasn?t met.
The final blow? At 9:30pm, we were told the pub would be closing at 10. On a warm summer evening, this came as a surprise?what sort of pub shuts early when it could be enjoying one of the busiest nights of the year?
The location remains beautiful, but unless there?s a serious rethink about standards and service, I can?t see myself returning any time soon. A real shame.

Country Park hosted our Wedding last weekend (14/06/25)
The food was fantastic, all great feedback and we'd like to send our gratitude to the chef and his team. To be fair, the whole team were fantastic, from the servers to the bar staff. With all the festivities we didn't get a chance to catch many of their names, however, the whole team were friendly, accommodating, professional and a credit to the venue.
We'd also like to say how grateful we are for everything that
our Wedding coordinator did towards our special day. She was awesome during planning, answered questions, eased fears and made the room look incredible.
The Humber Bridge is of course an iconic backdrop to our photographs and we're so pleased to have something so unique to feature in them.

A walk along by the Humber Bridge and I come across the Country Park Inn. What a terrific location and it was a glorious morning! I was with my small puppy and was met at the entrance of the bar by two staff members studying their phones. When asked if dogs were allowed in one pointed at a sign saying no dogs. Fair enough. The seating area overlooking the Humber and bridge was fine but how could I get a drink without leaving my pup tied up outside, I asked? No response. No offer of help. I left and won?t be back. Pity, as previously mentioned, the location was excellent.

Found it on Google and popped in for quick drink. What a superb place! We'd previously eaten, so didn't have anything to eat, but we'll definitely come back for food next time. Staff were brilliant, as is the location.

Great location on the bank of the river near the Humber Bridge. Food was good value for money. We had dirty fries from the light bites menu and were pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were.
