A charming spot on Hedon High Street, this café had a lot to offer. We arrived just as it opened and were quickly greeted. Our breakfast sandwiches and coffees were served promptly, and the prices were reasonable?great for a casual morning out.
However, the service didn?t quite match the promising start. After finishing our food and drinks, no one checked in to ask how everything was or offer additional beverages. We waited around 35 to 45 minutes before deciding to settle up and leave, ultimately getting another coffee down the road.
Additionally, a small detail detracted from the experience: the plant feature on our table was visibly dusty, covered in salt and pepper residue that seemed to have built up over time. We moved it aside to enjoy our space a little more.
With just a bit more attention to ongoing service and table upkeep, this lovely café could easily make a lasting positive impression.

I phoned just to ask if they did catering for funerals and there was an abrupt "no we don't". I was struggling to organize my father's funeral at the time. All I wanted was a platter or two. This was the beginning of March. I was referred to them too. I was disappointed.
