I'm writing this on behalf of my mum who stayed on the 19th Nov 2022. The room had a strong smell of damp, a fridge that was dirty and a microwave with rust and a handle that was loose. The shower plug had an awful smell coming from it. Someone had kindly left dog poo on the window which was still there when they left. Will not be staying again.

Sarah was my saviour. Having abandoned a long distance cycle ride i need a secure place for me and my bike. Phoned and asked if there was secure storage, "not a problem, just keep it in your room". Card details taken and booked in seconds, wonderful service. Arrived to find a clean and comfortable room with easy access, Clean modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. Fridge in room was an extra bonus as i was able to chill my water bottles for the next day. Nearest food is the Indian Restaurant (Shapla) that has taken over the former Bay Horse Pub, cant comment as i didn't eat as too tired but its trip advisor reviews are OK.

My partner is staying for work and the room is not cleaned, no fresh bedding or towels... Not good enough! A manager who doesn't seem to give a toss either. Location is good for commuters and the Indian restaurant next door is great. No replacement tea/coffee facilities.

Shocking the way we have been treated. Booked one night for a wedding. We got a TX 10 days before to tell us they had a block booking. So we were thrown to one side and our room was cancelled. Not a good way to run a business. Hopefully it will work out better for us. Luckily we found somewhere else to stay.

Great accomodation if you are looking for cheap & cheerful Room spotlessly clean. Everything you need. Comfy bed, clean toilet, good shower, plenty tea & coffee (always essential), all on ground level with easy access to your car, track nearby for walking dogs, fridge for the wine (!!), TV & good Wi Fi. Would come back in an instant. Should add - adjacent Indian just excellent (best booking). Also great wee local pub (The Ship) close by

I'm normally skeptical with what I read on these types of reviews, but when I arrived at the accommodation, I was surprised to see it was exactly as advertised...And room looked exactly like the picture (which is always a positive). Well, what can I say, it was a great room, clean, spacious, brilliant. Can't complain at all, and excellent for the money. And it comes with a small fridge and microwave which was very helpful. However, I must say this accommodation is best used if your going to use it as a base, then travel from there to an outer town or city, such as York, as there's nothing round there. And having access to a car is a must. And if your planning to eat at the restaurants in front of it, or around the area, I'd advise you to book beforehand. Also please keep in mind the room doesn't have its own independent heating the radiators in the room are powered by a timer in the main office, so when it off its off, and when it's on, it's on (unless you turn it down via the radiator switch). Also you only get two bath towels. But overall those are just small things, as for the room, I'd recommend it.

Spacious room with bathroom, clean & comfortable and excellent value for my weekend trip. Bonus extras of fridge and microwave. Food at on site Indian is also highly recommend. Great communication and service provided by Sarah too.
