Rushed here from work to pick up a prescription I desperately needed, arriving 10 minutes before closing time, only to be told that there wasn't enough time to get the prescription together ???? and that I'd have to come back in the morning!
This place and its staff have really gone downhill this last 12 months and it's completely unacceptable

My son gets ADHD medication prescribed-no notification was given by Boots that the prescription was ready to pick up and I got a phone call on 21st Nov saying I needed to pick it up as it was almost expired (it?s a controlled drug and needs to be picked up within 28 days after prescription)
I asked if I could collect it this afternoon (Friday 22nd) and was told yes, that?s no problem.
Turned up today to be told they can?t issue it as it?s past the expiry date and that it needed picking up Thursday. This is after I was specifically told a Friday pick up was fine.
This problem is the latest in a long running and seemingly never ending set of instances that we have with this particular branch of Boots. The text system is erratic, items are regularly missing and you are kept waiting for excessive lengths of time.
It has become a lottery when it comes to picking up a prescription and it wasn?t always like this. The staff are polite and apologetic but there seems to be a problem every single time you go to prescription up and it seems to be getting worse.
I?m sorry to leave this review but we?ve had enough now and will be going elsewhere.

Waited a week for Howdens medical centre then waited a week for boots, no text.. staff are friendly and nice and it's not their fault as their having to make up the prescriptions and serve people at same time which doesn't make sense. But boots is clearly understaffed if taking a week to throw some pills in a bag. ? Refuse to buy any products from boots as the company clearly doesnt care about their customers as people. Queues out the door and you can stand there nearly 30 minutes. Just what you need when you're sick or injured. Hire more people if you can't keep up, you're not the NHS so you can't use that excuse. ?

Walked in at 5,25, 6 people in front of me.
2 staff stood at door sorting there own online orders out!
One lady ( white uniform) on her own behind counter?finally got served at 545?

Was waiting for text confirmation to collect prescription, rang for info and was told it had been collected. It hadn't, they asked me to hold while they had a look, it was on shelf waiting. Oh someone's scanned it twice by mistake was the reason. Retraining required? No just an accident, was the reply.

Turned up tonight at 5.20 after being at work myself and the shop was all shut up , very disappointed if it says closes 5.30 it should close at 5.30
