Amazing Sunday Lunch yesterday 29th July. Tender Beef, mash, toasties, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, peas and loads of extremely tasty gravy followed by jam Roly poly and sticky toffee pudding & custard. Prices were really good as were staff. 100% recommended

Only has limited opening times, but the Sunday Lunch is outstanding & the value is out of this world, a proper family run business.....friendly staff & not overpriced for drinks either

Found this excellent pub whilst on holiday. The staff were very welcoming and also dog friendly. We visited three days on the trot and found the food consistently excellent. I had vegetarian meals which were fabulous, John had meat meals which were equally very good. Can highly recommend this pub.

We came at 2100 hrs on Friday night as part of an MNDa walkng team 53km into a 100 km walk from Leeds to hull . The reception was outstanding from the pub clientel and the licencsee . It was a planned visit but they fed and watered us for a 30 minute turn around as we were time limited. There was no charge for about 20 of us. This was a critical time in the walk for a boost and boy did we get it . This is the kind of place that needs supporting and we will be back shortly with some surprises. Many thanks for your support andy hallas and the MND walking team.Went for Sunday lunch 24th sept. Top quality meat and veg . plenty of . see photos. well recommended.

Came here with family for the Sunday lunch. Never been before but we were greeted by the staff as if we were old friends. The meal was outstanding! The staff couldn't do enough for us, making sure we had everything we needed. Sat later in the beer garden which is laid out like an outside lounge. Perfect in every way and we will definitely be returning.
