I Paid £50 for a brand new fence panel to be delivered to my address - but on its arrival I noted that it was completely water logged and had mould on it and that the metal makers badge wasso tarnished, it was unreadable. The driver explained that they are kept outside. I was forced to put the panel up as it was a security issue. I phoned and complained and was told that they would ring me when a new came into stock. That would have given me time to take the old one down. The new one turned up without warning - but I was unable to take the old old one down as the wood was so waterlogged that had expanded around the scews (that had sunk into the panel as I screwed them in ).So I am now stuck with, what is effectively an old second hand fence panel and a £50 hole in my bank account.Customer care and consideration is NOT this company's priority.Maximising profits at the expense of their customers, clearly is.

Don?t use MKM at Driffield under any circumstances, the rudest reception staff you could possibly come across, I ordered some Scottish Cobbles & bought a builder?s bucket, got home & attempted to use the bucket which was split on the side, so couldn?t use, not to big a deal, then 5 day?s later delivery turned up & was advised by the driver to check as he thought the wrong size was delivered, he was correct so refused delivery, he apologised & I said don?t worry not his fault & I would just get a refund from the office, went into Driffield office later that day to be accused of stealing a free sample of Scottish cobbles which I had previously asked for permission from Samantha on reception, I even went into the office after getting the free sample to show her what I had taken from the free sample box outside of reception, totally OK was her reply saying they are free samples, point 1, how can you steal an item that is free & especially when you?ve also asked permission as well, talk about Slander & deformation of character which I would add was said to myself in front of other staff members several times, had a problem getting my refund for the cobbles & told couldn?t have a refund for the bucket because I didn?t report it straight away, it?s a £2 bucket, how stupid of Duncan on reception as MKM have a 30 day returns policy for damaged goods with a receipt, he refused to serve me & asked me to wait outside which I refused to do, eventually got the refund from another customer service person but couldn?t have refund for bucket, so didn?t go into the store with a attitude but definitely went out with one, Duncan Who was bald slim with glasses was so rude with no personal skills what so ever, should be back room staff as not a good person to have dealing with customers as no skills in customer service at all, was even told to get on my bike & go home like a little boy, I?m a 59 year old fully grown man, who doesn?t take it lightly being spoken to in such a way, next day got bucket out of the bin & again took receipt into MKM in Driffield for a refund, to be told again no & reason because I stole Scottish cobbles & I didn?t report fault on day I got home, explained again your policy for exchange is a 30 day refund policy & again I didn?t steal anything as they are a free sample & was told it?s OK to take by staff member Samantha, but to no avail, at this point I was so angry, I raised my voice & argued with 2 men on reception telling them I wasn?t leaving the store until I got my full refund & for them to call the police if they think I?ve stolen any of their property, after about 15 minutes of shouting they finally gave me my full refund, why not do that yesterday, it?s them who are trying to steal money from their customers, have to say they are so expensive compared to other builders merchants in the area, look around & get quotes before going into this place, I?ve complained to head office & await a response, never ever in my life have I been spoken to like I was from MKM Driffield, thanks for reading Julian. DONT USE THEM. They didn?t even apologise for delivering the wrong order or for my time which had been wasted trying to sort out a resolution to this matter, don?t talk down to your customers & treat them with the respect they deserve, all this could of been avoided so easily by just being friendly & polite & doing what was done eventually in the end by giving a full refund, the guy who refunded me for the bucket which I didn?t get his name was the same as the 1st no empathy & totally lacking in customer service skills, I?d sack them both if I run MKM DRIFFIELD.

Some staff outstanding on knowledge and being helpful. Some unfortunately not as good. Good range of stock but expensive if you are not trade.

Bought some oak engineered flooring. The staff in the shop were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I gave them the dimensions of the rooms, and they did the rest. Delivery was prompt, friendly and helpful. Perfect from start to finish. Thank you.

Will not disclose what company i work for but this fit out is the worse mkm i have ever been too some staff are really helpful its a farce you after book in to get tipped for one pallet which takes all of 5 mins i dont know the guys name he wore glasses,slim build and skin head needs to learn people skills and talk to people correctly as i was parked across the entrance legaly in my righthe tells me to move as his staff parks there as i was on a tacho break

Very poor customer service, forcing people at the door to wear a mask and will not serve customers without wearing a mask even though I am exempt. Felt very threatened by the response from staff. it is discrimination and against the law to ask for exemptions because the person may not want to disclose this information.

Dropped into MKM to look at new shower enclosure and backboard for ensuite recommend by our plumber. Even tho the business looks more geared towards tradesmen the chap who showed us what our plumber was recommending explained it all in layman's terms that even I understood. First class service from a local company.

Friendly and helpful staff and competitive prices. Special thanks to the delivery driver, Alec, who negotiated a tight turn to reverse up the drive and deposit the bags of sand and gravel and cement over a seven foot fence into the garden. He was superb.

Really really helpful and friendly. Will definitely use again. Bought a lock online that didnt work properly and i couldn't return, wish I'd gone to MKM 1st they were super helpful and didnt break the bank.
