Cake lovelyScones - dry and pretty poor tbhSausage roll - spot onCoffee - very good blendBut when my child picked up a wrapped tray bake but then decided on Ice cream we put it back. The lady/ owner came over to the table forced to by as she had picked up stating she handled it ! The lady then went and picked the try bake up (wrong one) and brought to the table for to buy it! She was rude and showed absolutely no common sense! Will not be returning!

I have eaten at Sails many times over the years when visiting family and have never been disappointed. You need to reserve a table as it gets busy. Went for breakfast and lunch this time and can honestly say its very good value for money compared to alot of similar places now. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Good, wholesome cooked cafe food and nice that there's plenty of variety and not a burger or chip in sight!

Absolutely amazing food & sweet treats. The staff are lovely all happy to help. Lots of choice of cakes and tray bakes difficult to choose all looked delicious ? I?ll definitely be returning and recommending to everyone ! What a hidden little gem with a great service ! Took home a sausage roll for my partner he said it was the best he?s ever had !

Delicious homemade food in the windmill or outside in the courtyard. The choice of soup, quiche and cakes changes regularly. Staff are very friendly.

First time at Sails Cafe, the food was lovely and freshly cooked. The staff were really knowledgeable about food and allergens, nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely visit again.

Everything we have been to Sails we receive good service with food to match that is prepared to a good standard. The venue again was clean and tidy with a pleasant vibe. Highly recommended ?

Perfectly fine but nothing special. Standard cafe menu - sandwiches, panini etc. Would have liked the optionof chips as don't like potato wedges. Decent soup. OK coffee.

Made to feel an inconvenience as we hadn't booked. We arrived at 10am and the place was empty!!!We left after coffee and tea cakes at 11am. In that time the waitress had asked us twice if we wanted to buy more drinks. Whatever happened to a warm welcome. We won't be going back.

I've eaten here before and the other reviews are fair. Today was 29 C and the sun was intense. We wanted to sit outside and move our chairs a few metres into some shade. The waitress told us we couldn't. We could swelter in the sun or go somewhere else. Pointless and nasty! We went to Kristoff's in Cottingham and had a great morning tea, in the shade, with very nice staff. We'll not return to The Sails.

Regular visitor to Sails however the last couple of occasion?s have been disappointing, nothing wrong with drinks or food but once it gets to 3.30ish the staff are intent on clearing away, moving chairs on to tables, mopping the floor while you are still sitting eating etc which isn?t pleasant, I appreciate the staff need to clean up but it does make you feel as though you need to leave, obviously the staff are not paid for additional time to clean up after 4pm!
