Played Brough a couple of times these last two years and both occasions it was a joy. Course, fairways and greens very well maintained. Nice clubhouse. Worth playing.

Really disappointed with the lack of advice provided by pro shop staff before teeing off, re the (necessary) tee and green chamges. Also the response when this was raised after playing. Not very welcoming on a rainy day, where we could easily have gone home, losing the club £ 450 green fees plus bar takings.Edit: in response to your reply, I feel that is not of the degree of service I would expect from such a venue. I acknowledge the reduction in green fees, but seeing as several holes were severely affected by the (long standing?) works I feel that was very much warranted. The lack of communication surely falls on you, as the service provider to all its customers, to inform each member of the group, not to expect someone who had no real knowledge of the course, other than the info you say was provided (I am surprised that none of the group I spoke to, nor the group organiser were aware of the quite severe changes on at least 3 major holes) to pass it on.As a helpful idea, perhaps a simple typed sheet highlighting the changes to the affected holes ( ie giving distances, pars etc) would be useful both to your staff and visitors.I am sure the works will improve your course, which had many interesting features, but ask you to considser helping your visitors more during their progress.
