We will find it hard to put into words all the positives about our experience with Higgs and Barker. From the moment we met Kelvin, who put his lunch back into the fridge, to help us to the moment we paid (ouch!!) and were given the keys to our car, we didn't have a negative experience. Kelvin was very helpful, explaining all the controls and taking us out on a test run so that we could get a feel for the car. The transaction was simple and straitforward and we couldn't rate our experience any higher.

Great bunch, really easy experience with Higgs & Barker, from purchase right through to the after care. They have lots of reasonably priced, good quality cars and we had several we liked so it was worth the journey from Beverley to have a look. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Negligent mechanics! Gave my parents car full MOT and service.. next day and there is coolant all over the drive and they want to charge another £400 for a fault they missed which could have caused catastrophic failure. Avoid!

We were looking to replace our car we'd had for 9 yrs, which was purchased from Higgs & Barker. The car we bought is absolutely amazing! Nathan and I had a misunderstanding in that I was waiting for him to let me know whether our car needed a part and he thought I had agreed for him to order and fit a new one. I told him that I was shocked by the price increasing to around £550 from what we thought was £250 on an earlier call and that I thought he'd have rung me to tell me it needed the part before he went ahead. I told him I wasn't looking for a discount etc and I'd pay for what they'd done. Nathan wanted to argue the toss and go off and listen to the call recordings. He then called back arguing again and I had to tell him I was ending the call on him because clearly he wasn't prepared to even acknowledge that we'd misunderstood each other, in his opinion he's right and I'm an idiot. I can't trust this garage now as he wouldn't move forward. All I would've needed is an agreement that it won't happen again. Bill was paid in full and car returned to us but I'll be finding a new garage.
I'd appreciate my calls being reviewed by Mr Barker and being used for training.

We needed to purchase a car at short notice and had quite specific requirements. We contacted Kelvin at Higgs and Barker who said they may have just what we were looking for and arranged to meet with us the very next morning. The car ticked all our boxes and we picked it up 3 days later. When we arrived at the garage it was ready to go and even had a cute sign in its window for us. We are so happy with the ease of purchase, the excellent attention to detail with our requirements and really like the car. Mr Richard Barker ensured that the car was in tip top drive away condition for us and to leave a garage feeling like you have received a fabulous service was everything. Thank you so much. An outstanding service from Higgs and Barker would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good car at a good price.
