Beef and black pepper was mostly onions with few bits of grey beef, fried rice was tepid at best as was the mixed vegetables. The last time I ate here I returned the food as it was cold by time I picked it up which was concerning as I live on the other side of the street. This time I couldn't be bothered to return the food and simply won't use the place again.

Had a lovely meal here this evening. The Manager, Danny, was super efficient and friendly. We felt well looked after. He even helped us get a ride back afterwards. This restaurant is very lucky to have him, he got the balance right between being friendly and professional. Service was outstanding and so was the food. Well done all! ? We will definitely be back! Thank you ?

SHOCKING!!
The hygiene was shocking- one of the waiters had pimple patches above her lip which was hanging off, which is disgusting, should not have that when working in a restaurant.
We got there at 6:45pm quite empty so we thought it would be smooth sailing.
We ordered a set meal for 1, set meal for 2 and a starter and main
Starters came one of them was freezing and hard, one of them just smelt completely off.
None of our meals came at the same time there was always someone waiting for their food.
Moving on to the mains- half of the set meal for 2 was missing when we questioned it there response was ?oh right, erm we will go cook the other dish because we haven?t cooked it yet? Like sorry you haven?t cooked half of our meal?
The staff were then stood at the bar area talking about customers as when she walked over to the bar after dealing with another complaint from another family one of the waiters said ?what are they complaining about this time?
All of this was brought up and the service back was just so unprofessional!
We have eaten here before and only a couple times and only had 1 bad experience so we wanted to give it another go but this time was by far the most unhygienic, unprofessional and disgusting food.
There were even tables next to us who had been waiting for their mains an hour! We also waited 1hour 10 mins for main meals.
There weee people waiting for takeaways to then be told it isn?t in the system anymore and after an hour of waiting they got the food!
So much went wrong with this restaurant today, please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss the concerns.

Sweet sour chicken balls, batter was soggy , sweet sour sauce was very vinagery, curry sauce was very salty, Singapore fried rice was more salty than spicy I'm not a fan of thin noodles and that's what came , was expecting thick soft noodles, but I suppose they was ok , prawn crackers was to thick and tastless, don't think I will order from there again ,

We had walked a long way to a restaurant in the Old Town, only to find it shut, as was much else, so we wound up in China City. The place is quite modern and clean, the menu was excellent, the food was absolutely spot on as was the service. The staff could not have been more polite and friendly, and they even booked a taxi home for us as we were struggling to find one. Would recommend.

Rang at 17.59 Saturday told 40 to 45 minutes acceptable for a weekend rang at 19.15 to see where our meals were TOLD ON ITS WAY!!!! rang again at 19.45 TOLD ON ITS WAY!!!! AGAIN we were going out at 8pm they said it won't be here till 20.15 no good to us. We went out left our son there it turned up at 20.56 they said drivers car had a puncture!!!!!! Could be true but......we won't be using them again

China City is our go to Chinese restaurant. Staff very attentive but not over bearing. Food top notch and fair price. Decided to have a takeaway last time and got it delivered. We have had problems in the past with delivery times but this time it was with us within half an hour and food just as good as sat in restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Quality of food gone down since the last two owners had it ... all the meals we have had was either overcooked and very dry and all bulked out wit loads of onions also the curries are very thin and watery. We won't go there anymore

Really tasty Chinese. The crispy beef was great. Very tasty and nice and crispy. The only let down was the salt and pepper chips, just normal chips with a few sliced chilli?s.

Been for a meal the last 2 weeks. Plenty to eat and reasonable prices we found. Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly reccomended.

Absoloutley dosgusting £29.00 fpor pure food poisoning. Spent all day in b3d vomiting. Thanks a bunch! I will never return. What has happened to you guys? Was pretty decent 15 years ago. Absoloutley gob smacked. You should be ashamed.
