From Bishop Wilton Community Shop & Cafe
In 2018 a small group of villagers got together and the idea of having a community shop was born. The whole village supported the idea and raised through shares, donations and grants made the dream a reality.
Bishop Wilton is an extraordinary village, not only is it beautiful, much of its real appeal rests on its sense of community. It’s the reason many people have moved here and remain here.
We hope the shop and café will be an important focal point, a vital lifeline for those without transport and a convenience for everyone. We want it also to be a meeting place, communication hub and linchpin of our village life. Any profit from the shop goes back into the shop or supporting the community.
