Popped in here for an after dinner drink. It was quieter than we expected, so a nice surprise for a Saturday evening, and we found a table easily. It did take a while to get served at the bar, but that wasn't a problem. However, the tables were not being cleared quickly and the smell of the left over food lingered around. Not everyone wants to smell of chips on a night out. But having said that, the price of drinks was reasonable and we have been here several times.

Manager needs to crack a smile instead of having a disgustingly bad attitude ppl pick up on body language and to be sighing loudly like serving is too much needs a lesson in customer service. Absolutely appalling attitude won't be going back as the food is just as bad as her attitude

Ordered drink via the app. 40 minutes to arrive at our table, went up to the bar three times to see where our drinks were, to be told I'll get round to it when I can. Absolutely shocking service

This has got to be the worst Wetherspoons I have ever visited, low quality of food, by Wetherspoons standard, VERY rude/slow staff that nearly threw my plate of food at me and almost landed on my lap, most empty tables with dirty plates and glasses on with no staff clearing them.

2nd visit to this pub, but first time sampling the food on offer. 4 of us ate for £50 including drinks. We had a mixture of panninis and chips and a chicken burger and chips. One of the panninis had the wrong filling but this was changed straight away to the right order. No salad or coleslaw served with the panninis so pretty plain. The only downside to this pub (which is huge inside) was that tables were not cleared quickly and it looked messy as we tried to find a table. A good place if you want basic cheap food, but not somewhere I would go for a proper meal.

Absolutely abysmal service. Over an hour wait for food, when it arrived it practically cold!! No tables cleared , pots piled up everywhere, absolutely disgusting. No staff on the floor & 1 staff on the till. AVOID!!! Spend your cash in another pub

Absolutely awful was given a cremated pizza that looked it had been on fire for half a hour very slow service and when i said i didnt want the pizza i was told the next one would look the same to which i refused. I then went to the bar to get a refund and was greated by a young woman manager with a very poor attitude and no customer service skills. Horrendous service and food so will never go again,been to many spoons before and the pizzas are always lovely as is the service. Would score it a 0 if i could.

Get your coffee machine sorted! Got two and only one works and milk always running out on one they have. Staff couldn?t give a hoot

Regularly visit here when I?m in Beverley but as it?s considered an ?old folks? town, this Spoons resembles more of a cafe since the elderly cheapskates just turn up for their refillable coffees and dawdle about, leaving a massive line which makes getting to the bar difficult. The last time I visited, an elderly man was screaming at staff and marched into the kitchen as the coffee machine wasn?t working. How stingy do you have to be to be aggressive over a £1.50 coffee when the average house in Beverley is six figures?

Service to start with was not pleasent because of the ignorance of the member of staff, ordered a hot drink with my meal, not to be told both coffee machines were down, tried multiple times during our meal to see if back on line which they never came back on, so when requesting a refund after we had finished our meal was mortified to be seen by the same ignorant member of staff who this time was rude

We arrived and sat down and immediately this rude waitress came over and id?d all of us even when I was driving and was ordering a Diet Coke. I got my drink and got Moldy lime in it they clearly have something against groups of people!!

Very disappointed. The tables were dirty. None of the staff greeted us or table checked us. The children had a pizza and the adults had burger and chips. The portion size was literally embarrassing. I had 11 chips. And the burger was smaller than a 99p mcdonald's burger. We won't be visiting again. Il take my business elsewhere

Quite a regular visitor to wetherspoons pubs. But not as frequently as I used too. Are they pubs or cafes? They should really make their mind up. Also this 'order via app' nonsense? I was stood in a queue at the bar in this one, one person serving behind the bar, whilst another staff member was busy preparing an 'app order', then she took it to a table, not twelve foot way from the bar! What is the point? If they want waitress sevice then introduce it. Tables were stacked up with dirty dishes and glasses, I cleared our table myself, and the surrounding tables were still piled up when we left. The coffee machine is cheap but abused. We witnessed someone come in off the street with a paper cup and refill it from the machine. We also saw people walk in and take a dirty mug off a table. rinse it out at the machine, then fill it up. So obviously not enough staff on to keep an eye on this which will only result in those customers who don't abuse it getting pennilised eventually. Decent choice of beers to be fair, and it is cheaper than the surrounding pubs, but your pint isn't always top notch. I took one back a couple of weeks back as it was undrinkable and the barman just looked at me as if to say 'what do you expect'? So cheap and sometimes cheerful, depending on your mood and that of the staff, but sadly, to me anyhow, this branch and a couple of others like it are bordering on becoming nothing more than a McDonalds with beer type establishments.
