I went there at lunchtime and there was hardly any food on the shelves. Food was placed in the wrong place behind counter, and the sitting area was like a pig sty, rubbish everywhere! I hope it's not like this all the time. Did not enjoy going in at all

Tried the new Cherry Bakewell Muffin at Gregg's next to the Refill Jar in Flemingate, Beverley, and it's absolutely delightful! The muffin is a creative spin on the classic Bakewell tart?soft and fluffy, with sour cherry pieces perfectly complementing the sweet cherry jam inside. The white fondant is just the right amount of sweetness, topped with a classic glacé cherry.What made the visit even more enjoyable was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience a pleasure. It?s like a little piece of Derbyshire in every bite, served with a smile. Gregg's, you've outdone yourselves with this one! A Bake Off handshake is definitely in order.

Visited Greggs, Flemingate, Beverley today with family for first time. Massive long queue. Customers being served at snail pace. Lack of seating. Overpriced. Right in the middle of serving my family and I, the Greggs young male member of staff suddenly stopped serving me and turned to another customer, a Moslem lady, who appeared to my right. Neither he nor the woman in question had the common courtesy to acknowledge the fact that I was being served. The other customer was given priority over me. Was this because she was in Moslem religious dress and we are black? Very rude and discourteous on the part of the staff member and the other customer. I would legitimately make this complaint about any customer who pushed in and rightly so. The Greggs staff member should have told her to wait and finished serving me. At Greggs are some customers more equal than others? Or, was it simply a case of lack of customer care by the Greggs employee?, who was not the brightest spark. We won't be going back that's for sure.
