Long story short:
I bought a car in April and immediately noticed slight instability and vibrations while driving. I went to Bush Tyres ? first, they balanced the front wheels. That helped reduce vibration from the steering wheel. The next day, I came back and had the rear wheels balanced and a full 4-wheel alignment done.
However, vibrations across the car remained, and it still felt unstable at higher speeds. I returned again ? they rebalanced the rear wheels, but told me the instability might be due to wide tyres and road ruts. Although the alignment report showed a few red values, I was told everything was ?fine and within spec.?
In the end, the vibration persisted at speeds over 70 mph. The car only felt smooth below that, which wasn?t acceptable.
After reading forums and fearing costly repairs, my mechanic recommended redoing everything elsewhere. So after 2 months, I went to a different shop. They rebalanced the wheels properly ? all vibrations were instantly gone. A couple of weeks later, I redid the wheel alignment elsewhere too ? now the car tracks straight and feels rock-solid on the road.
Not sure what exactly went wrong at Bush Tyres, but I no longer trust them with even basic routine jobs. Definitely not a cheap mistake either.

On 7th May, I was visiting Grimsby with my family for a funeral when a horrible grinding noise started coming from my front wheel. The last thing I needed was a problem with my car before making the long journey home so I called in at Bush Tyres on my way home. Not only did they fix the problem (stone trapped between disc and cover) quickly and efficiently, but they refused to charge me for their excellent service. I can?t tell you how much of a relief this was for me and my family who were still in an emotional state following the funeral. It is so heartening to know there are decent and ethical companies around in this profit-driven world. I still have connections in Grimsby and I will make a point of visiting Bush Tyres when my tyres need replacing. Heartfelt thanks once again for coming to our rescue at a very difficult time.
