The food was very hot and plentiful. An impressive array of veg and huge jug of gravy. A good selection of ales. I had the Moretti lager though, at a good price and well kept. Our dogs were made welcome too. The pub is comfortable, the staff welcoming. Maybe add some music it was all a bit lacking in atmosphere

Blue post is a quite country public house, staff very friendly and chatty we were made very welcome, good range of alcohol beverages to choose from at a fair price. We will be back.

Staying in a cottage a 15 minute walk away, we had decided to have a wander to the local for a few beers and some tea. We had our dog with us who was made to feel welcome straight away. Had a quick chat with one or two locals before taking our seats. Real ale was very reasonable price at £3.70/pint which I would say by today?s standards is really good. Clearly kept very well and tasted lovely. When I asked about food, Michelle had explained she didn?t have a full menu available as she?d had a family issue to deal with. We were very grateful for this. We made our choice from what was available - 2 x haddock and 2 x lasagna. Both with homemade chips and salad. Lasagna looks homemade from scratch and was delicious - as was the haddock. This is a lovely pub run by smashing people who clearly care for what they do and they go out of their way to make customers (including strangers, like us) very welcome. I will definitely pop in again should I be in the area.

The blue post inn is a nice traditional village pub. There is a good choice of beers, lager and cider, including two great Newsome, cask conditioned, real ales. The real ale was excellent when I visited. A dog friendly, welcoming cosy pub. There is a TV and outside seating. Definitely worth visiting.Parking: Plenty of free on street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is flat and the pub is all on one level.

We had a beautiful home cooked lunch with an assortment of fresh seasonal vegetables that were cooked to absolute perfection. There was a very good selection of drinks. The Pub is very comfortable and the Landlord and Landlady couldn?t have been more accommodating - 1st Class service. We will definitely be visiting again next season. Thank you Gary and Michelle.

WOW!!! We stopped here for lunch after doing a fantastic walk by the canal. We all had no idea what to expect and were blown away from arrival. The restaurant is lovely. Pub has a gorgeous feel to it. Staff so kind and more than happy to provide fresh water for our dogs! The food was fantastic! Gorgeous to go somewhere and not only have Panninis and sandwiches on offer! They managed to cater for our large girlie table and the coffee's and desserts were also wonderful. This place is so near and I will be returning with my family! Owners as hospitable as this, deserve to do well. THANK YOU Team Blue Post Inn!
