Love love LOVE it here! I?ve been three times now and each visit has been absolutely fantastic. Every time I come, I try something different from the menu, and I haven?t been disappointed yet. The pub itself is stunning?such a beautiful building with a brilliant modern extension at the rear that offers breathtaking views all the way to Durham Cathedral. It?s the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon or a cozy evening out.
The drink selection is solid?great pints of lager and ales, and according to my wife, the cocktails are delicious. But the real star of the show is the food. Wow?every dish we?ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From hearty pub classics to more refined dishes, everything is clearly made with care.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which really adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. If you haven?t been here yet, do yourself a favor and put this pub at the top of your list. It?s quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area!

I am up from the West Midlands visiting, and was taken to this beautiful place. Loving the decor of the place, sheek, stylish, fabulous. Amazing views and the food was delicious. The staff are very friendly and professional. Regarding the meal and why I gave 4 stars, and this is just my personal thought regarding what I ordered, the chips were abit too greasy and too much with what I ordered, but saying that, they were delicious. It was 3 of us in my group and overall, we all enjoyed it. The other 2 individuals had been before and they enjoyed it, hence their second visit, and I will definitely be going back whenever I am back in Durham. Oh, and, I almost forgot the dessert.. oh my god (and that is if you can find room after the meal). I 100% recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

First time having Sunday lunch 3 of us arrived was met by a very pleasant lady and shown to our table , given menus and drinks order taken arrived very promptly lunch order then taken food arrived hardly any wait ,the whole experience was excellent all the staff very polite and happy the atmosphere was pleasant and the food exceptional 10/10 Thankyou will return ?

Class only problem dogs ,they should not be allowed where food is been served, at one stage a table near us had dog on their knees at the table which will put me off

We popped in towards the end of our 16km walk today for a beer. Dogs are welcome which is always a good thing and we had 2 pints of Camden Pale Ale which was really nice. A lovely friendly and welcoming pub.

Absolutely loved this place. This isn't our local but I would happily travel in the car for a meal out again. Food was really nice and service was spot on.

Took my grandparents here and we loved it! Service was lovely and they kindly found us a table near the loos with only one step.
Food was lush, great sized portions and creative dishes. I had the Buddha Parmo.

Gorgeous food in a fab setting. The food here is always stunning. Great variety, hearty portions and fantastic vegetarian section.
The staff are really nice and always have service with a smile.
