Amazing hall and ground, truly spectacular and historic. The rooms are traditional and have well appointed bathrooms - this is where many traditional English hotels are let down, so well done.Very disappointed there was no breakfast in the morning!

I can't comment on the room as I was there for a conference. The hotel is gorgeous. The room we were in was not great for a PowerPoint as it was too light from the roof lantern. The lunch was really disappointing, unsure if it was the conference budget but only sandwiches, salad with a tiny bit of dressing, very dry. No biscuits with coffee or any dessert. Maybe for the grandeur of the building I was expecting something better. Very disappointed. Took lots of pics of the gorgeous interior though. Maybe a case of all fur coats and no....

Awesome venue and location but let down by lacklustre service, small portions and difficulty finding staff whenever they were needed.

Spent the day in the spa, had some lunch and then a treatment - all within reasonable prices. Me and my partner spent about 4-5 hours in total and spent about £190 for both of us including food. The spa has several amenities of which all are great to use. Even though the sauna wasn't working today we were informed of this issue in advance and we were kindly offered refreshments for free to cover for this. We didn't feel this impacted our experience at all. We were still able to use the jacuzzis outside with a lovely view, the steam room, relaxing room etc. Overall the spa is very clean and has a beautiful style. With the weather being good we had an awesome and relaxing time. The location of the spa is itself breathtaking. The staff were very kind and friendly which added to the experience. My partner and I would love to visit again in the summer.

Review for the spa. Location on the lake is nice, staff and food are always great. Unfortunately the spa is falling into disrepair. The last few times I have visited, something is always broke, last time the sauna, the time before a hot tub. And I know things can break and we were offered to change our booking. But the general place has a feeling of longer term neglect. The decking outside has plenty of rotten bits; it has been patched and bodged in places, but you wouldn't have it in your garden. There were broken lights inside and out, tiles missing and unreplaced inside, scruffy peeling paint. All things that should and can be fixed quickly and easily, but aren't being. The conservatory had a boarded up window today, I don't know how long for.....Unfortunately there is a general feeling of tattiness and neglect, which is a shame because it's otherwise a nice place.

We travelled over from Ireland for the horse racing and stayed in this absolutely amazing venue. It?s just stunning and couldn?t have been made feel more welcome by the staff. Will definitely be coming back for a weekend and venture to the

Visited here recently for a wedding, beautiful place and nice venue. The rooms were brilliant on downfall was the beds. They were so uncomfortable like sleeping on a water bed. It wasnt a great nights sleep.

We were lucky enough to marry at Wynyard Hall on 17th Feb.From the very first meeting to the day of our wedding, we recieved nothing but top class service. Suzanne Brompton and her team were absolute miracle workers, taking care of every last detail to ensure the day of our dreams.Throughout our wedding day, all of the staff at Wynyard showed the utmost professionalism and were attentive to all of our guests. The presentation of the venue and the wedding breakfast were second to none.I have taken a star off for the rooms as the lock on the door of the bridal suite was broken and required maintanance during our stay. This can be forgiven due to the age of the building and did not hinder our experience.

What an absolute joke the staff are at this place, absolutely useless and slow doesn?t even come close to these idiots. Counting ice cubes before putting them in the glass.. no wonder it takes them 20+ minutes to serve people. Morons wouldn?t have a clue how to work fast, they were too busy messing around and talking. The ?bar manager? doesn?t like it when you?re truthful and ?head of house keeping? my god what a common tramp she is. Worst service ever. What a pitiful night.
