I've visited the spa many times before but found it very disappointing at a recent visit, nobody to greet us on arrival , had to go and find someone. It was very busy at one point 6 people in the changing room wanting to change, gowns are definitely in need of replacing. As mentioned previously in a review, one of the hot tubs has been replaced, no steps, making it difficult to get into and out of.
Afternoon tea was nothing special, a bit dry and cold out of the fridge. The treatments are definitely not of the previous standard and my poor friend had to listen to inappropriate chatter throughout hers, not the relaxing experience it should have been.
Standards are definitely not what they used to be which is a shame.

Visited the garden cafe. Food was delicious as always and views of the garden lovely.

Horrendous spa experience!
After visiting this spa numerous times over the years, I was looking forward to our visit yesterday for my sisters birthday. We had a lovely afternoon tea and were looked after by an amazing, sweet and helpful lady.
Unfortunately that is where our lovely experience ended.
On entering the changing rooms, the smell was very unpleasant, and certainly not a relaxing area to get ready in.
We headed straight outside as our favourite parts are always the hot tub / jacuzzi by the lake. First disappointed was that one of the tubs has been replaced by a tiny hottub, no steps into it, no seats and was luke warm. A far cry from what used to be there and far too cold to stay in. We went round to the sunken jacuzzi, which was thankfully hot. Unfortunately it no longer has working jets, so is simply a warm tub of water!
We decided to go in to the relaxation room with the twinkling ceiling and warm bench. Unfortunately the room was cold, as was the bench, so we couldn't stay in.
We went to use the rainfall shower with the side jets. Again faulty! There was so much limescale that it trickled out and the side jets didn't even reach you!
The ice fountain wasn't working, the steam room smelt musty and the whole experience was a huge disappointment.
We did stay and sat outside in the the warm water to have a catch up, but this certainly wasn't the experience I had booked or paid for. I am not sure how they can still advertise themselves as a luxury spa, when most of it is unusable. Unless the spa receives some major maintenance, we will not be returning.
Contacted customer service and received a simple sorry email. Not good enough for such a high profile hotel and spa.

Booked a 2hr spa session followed by afternoon tea. Was highly disappointed with the spa! Everything was very tired and shabby looking! The robe I was given looked like an antique. The worst part however was the thick rim of brown hairy sludge around the hot tub!! There was a smell of drains and inside the spa and if it hadn?t have been booked for a Christmas present I would have left! Very disappointed! However, the staff were friendly enough and the afternoon tea was ok! Will not be returning!

Wynyard Hall is one of those venues that never disappoints. I love photographing weddings here! The grand house, the stunning gardens, and all those beautiful little spots for photos make it such a special place. Whether it?s the elegant interiors or the outdoor spaces with those gorgeous views, there?s always something amazing to capture.
It?s one of those places where you can tell the couple is in great hands, and it shows in the photos!
If you?re looking for a classy, picturesque venue, Wynyard Hall is definitely worth considering. I always enjoy capturing weddings here!

I attended a Carol service on the evening of 8 December. The choir was outstanding and thoroughly enjoyed.
However, when it came to refreshments the experience was less than enjoyable! The queue for the mulled wine was endless and when I finally got to the dispensers, one was empty one was broken and the last one took forever to fill. Not good at all!
There should have been someone organising this very poor and not cheap at £25

Had a lovely Christmas afternoon tea with my Daughter and Granddaughter. Beautiful decor and surroundings and the tea was lovely too.
We all had a relaxful time and will definitely return next Christmas for tea.

Fabulous wedding venue. Food was beautifully presented, and more importantly, it was served hot. Only downside is the cost of drinks is a tad expensive

Didn't stay in Wynard so couldn't comment on the rooms. Visited the cafe on site which is a great venue for coffee and cake and their selection of pastries, there is always something unique to purchase in the shop. Beautiful gardens and dog friendly.
Nearby activities: Cafe and restaurant on site...
Walkability: Plenty of walks around the grounds.
Food and drinks: Great food.

Attended the carol service on Christmas Eve and the music and Christmas spirit was fantastic. But spoilt a bit by selling too many tickets resulting in families being split up and 6 people to a pew designed for four . The afterservice drink and mince pie were disappointingly served in paper cups with mass produced mince pies. Given the venue and entry cost they should not be cutting corners on things like this.

Christmas Eve, Afternoon Tea.
My self and my family had the Prosecco and kids afternoon tea.
It was nice.
Very festive and lovely warm & friendly staff.
We were seated in the what I believe is the Duke of Wellington room.
I would recommend and I?m already thinking that I will re book, when possible for next Christmas Eve.
Thank you Wynyard Hall, for a nice couple of hours.

Attitude was absolutely appalling from the woman who answered from the Events team today. Short and snappy. Will definitely never be returning to Wynyard. This call solidified the previous week?s negligent and dangerous issue, when the restaurant staff gave my 10 month old nephew and his mother foods that they are highly allergic to - after stating multiple times to different staff both their serious allergies. The staff in the restaurant were very apologetic and I was going to leave it at that. However, the events team woman has pushed me to report this breach to the relevant authorities and leave this review.

Visited for lunch in The Glass House and them the Christmas Fayre, lunch was lovely, staff very attentive and friendly.
The Fayre was great, lots of different items on sale and a very Christmassy atmosphere
