Great for building materials without the families out for a outing.
They have one type of most common items - and maybe a homebrand - think builders merchant open to the public.
Keen prices and a generous trade discount scheme.
Convenient location by the A19 though heck of an exit onto the 'off sliproad' of the A19 northbound that allows direct access to the roundabout interchange: turn right out the carpark, then left and the 'Giveway' and..... choose your moment [prayers optional] to join the traffic coming down(hill) off the A19 at 50mph+.

10 yrs ago when doing up my bungalow, I bought 2 bathrooms and a kitchen from wicks and service was fab, yesterday I popped in to see if I could buy a new toilet seat for one of the toilets, sales guy wasn't very helpful and said I could try customer service but they won't be very helpful, he wasn't serving so he could have tried to help me as he got all my details up on the system so he knew what I was looking for. I then went to B&Q and bought one.

As part of our bathroom package they gave us a hippo bag that was meant to be taken away. The first request to have it removed was on the 28th of January. After subsequent multiple conversations with customer service, we were repeatedly told it would be removed. It is now a month on and we are still waiting. We would not recommend this company they clearly do not care for their customers nor for the promises they made in the contract.
