I stay at this hotel once or twice a month. Rooms are very clean. Staff are very welcoming.
Rooms: Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Food & drinks: I would like to say a massive thank you to Alex W who works in the restaurant. He is so welcoming and helpful and is always going the extra mile. He makes my mornings cheerful. Thank you Alex keep being you. You deserve the recognition. Food is freshly cooked and of good quality.

Good location. Good selection of nearby outlets and just off the A19. Rooms would be 5 star if they had air conditioning. Was a bit stuffy.
Food & drinks: Toby Carvery, Dominos, McDonalds and KFC all on the same area.

Rooms: Rooms very clean, very quiet and comfortable.
Food & drinks: Hotel only offers breakfast. Has reasonable food options right next to the hotel. Breakfast was made to your order on the morning and not buffet style however you could order as much each breafast item as you wanted. Continental selection was good too. Staff very friendly.

The premier plus rooms are some of the best I've seen, all the usual items you would expect and windows that open! Bonus!

The best Premier Inn room design and furnishings we have experienced, we had a brilliant night sleep and really enjoyed all the different amenities available on the services too. Staff were very helpful and even though the Hotel was busy and next to a busy A-road, we weren't disturbed at all. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.
Rooms: The latest and best premier inn rooms including a new wing that opened a few years ago.
Nearby activities: McDonald's, KFC, Dominos, Greggs and Costa all on the service area as well.
Walkability: Directly off the A19 on a services so nothing really around you can walk to.
Food & drinks: Toby Carvery directly next door and they have their own breakfast restaurant inside the Hotel.
Noteworthy details: BP fuel station with Londis shop and a Costa Coffee machine on the service area. Amazing transport links via A19 North and South.

It's what you would expect a Premier Inn to be ?

Lunch only at the Toby Cavery food is nice and the staff were friendly and efficient however on this occasion the restaurant was very quite and I think as a consequence the food was not very hot which spoilt it a bit.

Had stayed here previously and due to it being a modernised premier inn we enjoyed our return. Great customer service quiet rooms no faults and a decent sleep.

I've stayed in a number of Premier Inn branches over the last decade or two and this has to be the dirtiest, most tired and dilapidated branch of any hotel brand, that I've ever stayed in, in any part of the UK!
I have social anxiety and I don't like confrontation (because I tend to lack a filter, have a short fuse and may be rude when wound up, so I find it better to avoid conflict). I don't like to put people out and feel guilty for being difficult, even though I think that in this situation, I probably should have been. Even though it was wholly unacceptable, I still felt guilty about complaining.
The staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly, but I felt that given the standard of the cleaning and the poor state of the furniture, that it would be pointless to ask to move rooms, because they would likely all be this dirty and run down. If this many corners were cut in one room, they'd be cut in all of the rooms. So I decided not to create an atmosphere or animosity when it was unlikely that the other rooms (if there were any available) would be any better.
Everything was filthy. The skirting boards were all filthy. The carpet was filthy. The side table was falling apart. Some electrical sockets were not flush with the units or walls - an electrocution and fire hazard. The chair was full of crumbs and food. The furniture hadn't been moved in ages and therefore things like the skirting board behind the sofa bed were even more disgusting. The sofa bed was full of stains, the bed base was full of stains. One of the pillow cases was grey. There were short black hairs everywhere. There was dust everywhere. The vents (I'm not sure what they're for as it states there is no air con on the website) were caked in dust. The fan was covered in dust - on the covers, the controls, the head, the base and the blades, the coffee and tea tray was filthy and couldn't be used. Not one but two clothes hangers broke from the weight of a single shirt. There were six or eight rings (I forget), only four hangers and two were broken. The bedding had a blue stain (ink maybe) and a white stain like paint, tipex or toothpaste. The net curtain was mouldy or otherwise stained. The bathroom was the only clean area, but the seal beneath the opening glass door - which is accessible for cleaning - was filthy. The carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed and if it was, perhaps you need to empty your vacuum cleaners, if the suction is that bad that crumbs and bits of white stuff can't be picked up.
It took me two hours with a packet of wet wipes to make the place feel acceptable.
I'm mildly allergic to both species of common dust mites and some dust doesn't bother me, but it was so severely dusty that it really impacted my allergies, even with my antihistamines, eyes drops and steroid nasal spray.
I didn't get a good night's sleep as I couldn't use the fan because it was so filthy. The room was very warm. I couldn't use it being that filthy. I tried to open the window, but it became too noisy.
The hotel itself was very quiet inside though. There was ample parking and the free WiFi worked well.
The vending machines are a complete rip off. £2.50 for a 500ml bottle of plain water. £1.80 for a 330ml can of Coke. I'm pretty sure you could charge much less and still make a profit. Those prices are literally extortionate.
I will not be staying here again, ever. Unless the place is deep cleaned or fully refurbished. I don't like confrontation and I hate having to leave reviews like this, but at the end of the day the standard of cleaning, the standard of the furniture and the bedding etc., were all unacceptable and a room should NEVER pass a check to be rented out in that state. At the end of the day, I speak with my wallet. I won't use this branch again.
I realise this will be a

One of three premier inn rooms I stayed in with my family on a short trip.
Everything about the hotel was great, other than the underlying smell in the hotel room. It was almost like someone had been smoking in it, or more likely a heavy smoker had been staying in it. A bit of a shame that it would then be allocated to anyone, nevermind a family with young kids.

Nice hotel for a couple of nights stay. Nothing lavish, but there was no noise, the room was clean & the staff are friendly & helpful. The bed was comfortable & the room is reasonably sized. There are tea & coffee making facilities & TV. There is a restaurant by reception & is also joined to a Toby Inn. Prices were reasonable as well.
