Great selection of supplies from crafts for younger children to model kits for older ones and dad. We have done a few workshops here and my children loved them. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Good craft shop for almost every hobbyist

Hobbycraft has an excellent selection of niche and premium crafting products, but it is worth noting that they are priced accordingly.
If you're a specialist looking for something very specific and are willing/able to pay, this is a good place to look. If, however, you're only looking for basic crafting supplies, you'll almost certainly find them cheaper elsewhere.
For this reason I would say Hobbycraft has more to offer to art professionals than to dabblers.

It is a great shop, everything you need. I've deducted 2 stars because the last 2 times I visited I was followed by a security guard (plain dressed man who had a great interest in the jewellery making kits) and the other time a member of staff was hovering pretending to fiddle with stock whilst glancing at me every second. I understand that shoplifting is prolific and it has to be done but I am reluctant to go back. Maybe most people wouldn't notice but I am very aware of it. Otherwise the staff are friendly at the tills (when I'm not being followed around because I happened to have gone into my bag to answer my phone) Next time I might go in with my arms in the air and no bag ?.
