Me and my friend went to the Stockton CEX on Wednesday 22/01/25 we bought a Xbox 360 game and 3 wrestling DVD box sets. The guy that served us ( who looked like he had just got out of bed ) gave us the wrong game disc, I realised this before leaving and asked for the correct one and did not give us any of the DVD discs for one of the box sets, I returned on Sunday 26/01/25 the same guy served me and I told him the issue, he found the discs gave me the box set and said nothing, no apology, no sense of customer service, nothing. Needless to say I will not be returning to this CEX, Advice to anyone looking to buy from here 1. Check the boxes before leaving 2. Don't expect any sort of customer service.

This cex shop is the only reason I visit stockton. Friendly staff. Nice choice of DVD's and box sets! Some cheap, some not so cheap! My favourite cex shop out of them all is the York branch! °°?

Negative experience here. I brought my macbook on the Sunday to sell and they told me it would take a day or two. I returned on the Wednesday for them to tell me they couldn't test it as they didn't have my charger - they did not ask me for my charger when I dropped it off? Waste of time
They also had my phone number, but just did not think to call me and inform me of this...

Poor customer service at the Stockton shop, left things unclear on the matter what was said didn?t make sense regarding a working console that i was trying to sell, making things up regarding working charging ports, wouldn?t recommend

Pretty bad experiences when I buy something from this store. One of the male employees energy is pretty bad and doesn?t give a friendly vibe. I can look past that IF the games I bought worked. I?ve bought multiple games now and more often than not, they?ve just refused to work on my ps2/ps3. It?s not my system because my other owned games work perfectly fine with no issues. If they respond to this review, I?m sure they?re going to say that they clean and make sure the games work before this sell them. But they obviously don?t check them throughly since it?s been multiple games now. Even as I write this review, my uncharted 2 won?t even load to the main menu

Staff friendly and the store has a welcoming atmosphere. However, the store has a system of placing games in alphabetical, which, when followed, makes it easy to find games, but this is rare, and games are often in the wrong letter or placed in a completely different part of the store by customers making it look like the store doesn't have certain games.

I Recently tried to sell my PS5 here, along with a spare controller and headset. Having barely had any use in just under the 2 years I?d owned it I wasn?t expecting any issues, however I received a call a couple of hours later to tell me they couldn?t buy my console.
They said it appeared the warranty sticker had been tampered with, and therefore couldn?t guarantee the console hadn?t been opened. Whilst I?d owned it, the covers hadn?t even been off let alone the case opened, all the original warranty sticker were still installed, had no signs of void or tampering it was just stuck on slightly out line. Cex staff, this does not mean the console has been tampered with, if it had been opened there would at least have been witness marks on the screws, marks on the cover from removal but there was non of this because it has never been opened.
My console was on pristine condition, looking at the stock in the shop at the condition of the items for sale maybe the fact mine was in such good condition was the real reason they didn?t want to by it, they had no reason to knock me down and pay me the lowest price possible.
They even said it?s in perfect condition and fully working order but couldn?t buy my console.
I won?t waste my time trying to sell anything for cex again, and certainly won?t be buying anything else either.

I had to wait for a long time without even being told that it would take a while whilst the customer in front of me was served.
The staff was a bit rude except one of the girls.

Great as always sent my watch off and they couldn't fix it so sent me a brand new one out don't mind paying there higher prices for expensive things with getting a 2 year warranty

I bought a laptop here and it is in very good working condition. The attendant was very patient as I took my time to select one out of many laptops she showed me. Thank you CeX.
