Great supermarket for most things, but I don't buy fresh fruit from there. It's exactly the same stuff as you get at Lidl but somehow Lidl's fresh fruit last longer.

It was a standard Aldi layout. The middle isles were disappointing. Instead of useless tat I didn't need but wanted it was just useless tat. The staff were really pleasant and couldn't fault them in any way.

Good deals on fresh produce, tins of beans, 'stand up paddle boards', 'pottery wheels', 'tow-bar fitting kits', 'plasma-cutters' and 'weld sets', such is the variety of their offerings including the centre-aisle Aldi Specials.
Great bargains are to be had at times, especially if you time a visit just right. Over the months my hauls have included, a full sized wet-suit for £5, a 25L air compressor for £25, kids books for less than 10% of their cover price, and cycling spec with interchangeable lenses in many shades for 75p !!!
The local 'wildlife' can be a little too much at times as the site's near the infamous 'Hartington Road' meaning it's often frequented by the local 'five fingered discounters' (smack-head zombies leaning at 45°, often with one just a single tooth each) intent on grabbing even better bargains than those on offer to the rest of us.
