Having been from out of the area to work in Spennymoor I've tried the eating places localy. The cottage cafe comes by far on top really good food at a reasonable price the breakfasts are a must try spot on.definitely b back very soon.thanks tom

Visited for the first time today and we'll definitely be back soon. Very friendly and helpful staff, massive food portions served hot and fresh with real chips ?. I had a prawn baguette, hubby had a hot gammon sandwich and his dad had a hot chicken sandwich. Excellent value for money and quality food ? absolutely delicious ? in fact we all agreed this is the best cafe we've ever been to and I don't know how you guy's make a profit. I think a lot of place's could learn a lot from you regarding the whole experience from beginning to end . Thank you and keep up the good work ?.

3 stars?. May seem a bit harsh as it?s definitely better than an egg McMuffin from mclosers, although that?s a low bar.Positives: finally found somewhere that know how to cook scrambled egg. Most places it?s either still moving or cremated. Here; perfect.Middle if the road: The toast and sausages were still hot although I think Tesco value sausages may have more flavour.Not so great: The rest was either cold or gristly.Can?t complain too much as the price was in line with expectations.As for the cafe, felt like I had stepped back into the 80s.Overall okay, one step up over mclosers and still not bad for under £10 for a full breakfast which I couldn?t finish.

Ordered Sunday dinner from here, absolutely lovely, only problem was I didn't read the description that said with mushy peas and the photos had garden peas but that was my fault. Will definitely order again.

Never been despite Google insisting that I have and pestering me for a review. I gave all 1s because there is no option to say that I never went there. Maybe if Google got their act together things may have been different.

The best little cafe in Spennymoor. If you're looking for proper home cooked food this is your place. Staff are friendly and welcoming, their menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. Seating is available on two floors and there is a bathroom situated on the first floor. The cafe is clean and accessible for all users.\n\nYou will always be pleasantly surprised when your meal arrives, the portion sizes are very generous and extremely delicious.\n\nAlways our first choice for food.. we even have them deliver to us when we cant get down to the cafe. The same food delivered by their friendly driver.\n\nFor ease of payments they do take good old cash, and card payments, and the delivery driver also has a card machine if you're like me and dont carry cash.\n\nGive them a shot you wont be disappointed \n
