Great store, plenty of items to purchase, beers, wine's, groceries, flowers,cards, CDs and lots more. Lots of parking plus a fuel station.

All the years I have used Spennymoor shop I have never known it be so scruffy, dirty floors, unkept shelves and lack of stock!

Went today with my elderly parents and it was nothing short of diabolical. The place was scruffy, no trolleys we eventually found one with a wonky wheel. Then when it came to getting served there was 20 people in each queue, two queues going up via the booze aisle. Almost a sif deliberate as we watched people picking up bottles while they waited. Took. Early an hour to get served. My elderly father had to leave and go back to the car, a man on oxygen stood in the queue next too us and a number rof people where clearly struggling. Yet no other tills were put on while we were there. Despite their been 3-4 members of staff on the self service. I mean. Why have self service if it means you need to take staff off normal tills. Never will we use this Asda again. Absolutely diabolical. Only two normal tills on despite the queues going into the second half of the aisle. Ridiculous.

Have noticed this store getting worse and worse. It's getting more and more dirty and untidy and the shelves are half empty or totally empty the majority of the time. Needs a serious overhaul as it's turning into a germ factory.

Absolute nightmare from start to finish. No trollies,then it didn?t have a holder for the hand scanner. female toilets disgusting! Nothing on the shelves and loads of price tickets missing. Don?t even get me started on them stupid bloody doors on the fridges. And why the hell is half of chilled at one half of the store and half at the end! Queues a nightmare at the tills. Came out stressed to death

What a complete nightmare.(I am writing this as I have now been stood waiting in a queue for 20 minutes to be seen at the till and it?s not even that busy?!)We?re going to be late picking our kids up from school!We as a family have now decided to boycott ASDA. We have been loyal customers since the 90s and watched how ASDA has been slowly replacing checkout assistants with computers? This is causing havoc.No trolleys available, no bags at the checkouts? what has happened to ASDA?Pack in with the corporate GREED and start hiring real people again!Scan and Go is basically an innuendo for (we are sacking staff and using the customers as a free labour force)15 more minutes has now past and I?m still stood here.Apparently they?ve got staff looking for some games for them. Not the best supermarket, always busy, chaotic, unpleasant loud staff, half stacked shelves and also now getting expensive compared to other supermarkets. Oh and it's in Spennymoor, enough said.

My last visit was chaotic. Shelves and freezers not well stocked. Supervisor barking orders at staff when i was at checkout which i thought was very bad manners as i was being served plus humiliating staff on shop floor. Very unprofessional. However the young man who served me was excellent customer service as are most of the other staff. Down side you have to ask for bags at self serve now which means if its busy your standing around waiting for staff to give you one. Lots of big black flies coming from stock room and flying around store. Absolutely disgusting spreading germs and diseases environmental health needs informed.
