Was down from scotland staying close by and decided to come along for dinner and a few drinks. The restaurant is very nice inside, the staff were all very friendly and the food was great. Moved into the lounge area of the hotel after for a final drink before leaving which was a good comfortable space.

The 1189 restaurant was one of the best things about staying at Walworth Castle - the food was top quality, some of the best I?ve ever had when staying at a hotel. Staff really helpful and friendly too

We have been a few times now and the food has always been excellent. Staff are attentive, and three courses cost around £30 each including a soft drink. Portions are decent and lots of flavour.

Excellent service, and great space and facilities.I am not sure if I just ordered the wrong things, but was a little disappointed by all three course. The stack of black pudding and hash browns was a peculiarly breakfasty start to the meal. The roast pork was dry. The various sides with the roast were all very salty. The crème Brûlée consistency was odd. The crumble was good though.

Has nice food and staff members pleasant. Reservation system for arriving guests is not effective because message does not seem to be passed to team.
