Could not fault this Premier Inn. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

We happen to stop here on valentine's day and the room was made up with pettles and had chocolates and a drink in the room. Nice touch from the staff! Front desk is always very friendly.

We stayed there overnight, and I can't fault the hotel. We were able to check in early, which was extremely helpful as we arrived fairly early.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the hotel room was spacious with a comfortable bed and shower room, as well as a small TV.
There is plenty of parking and a great pub next door with delicious food.
The location, though, there was not much to do around there. So if you visit to sight see, there is nothing nearby.
Prices were reasonable and affordable for sure. You pay an extra £15 if you check in early.
I would say the hotel could do with a little decor update, as it looked a little run down.
Otherwise, for a cheap stay in, I highly recommend ?
Rooms: Rooms are spacious with comfortable bed
Nearby activities: Nothing much near by
Food and drinks: Pub with delicious food next door

Nice place to stay, rooms are good for the money and it's next door to a good pub. Only problem is road works right next to the hotel which caused a detour, not the hotels fault. Staff and very friendly and helpful.

After a 3 hour drive was greeted by a really friendly woman. Went back to reception to get some additional tea and milk and the lady offered us some biscuits to dip. It's really the little things in life that make a big difference.

This hotel has a wonderful team. Nothing is too much trouble. We arrived on Valentines day to a beautifully presented room. Rose petals, chocolates, wine and a beer, all complimentary. A special mention to Sue, Angela and John but not forgetting the rest of this great team. Thank you for going the extra mile and we hope to return soon.
Rooms: The rooms are in need of modernisation, especially the electrics and noisy bathroom extractor fans. The heating is quite odd in that it goes off after a certain time... Which is frustrating if staying for more than one night when temperatures are low outside.

Comfortable, friendly, convient. Everything you want - parking easy, food available, helpful staff. Rooms clean, warm and comfy. Nice touches - in our family room Angela and team left colouring and snacks for the kids.

Good enough for a 1 night stay while I was visiting our offices in the area.
Rooms: Comfortable and clean but probably on the edge of needing an upgrade now. Not quite the usual Premier Inn standard.
Nearby activities: Don't know. Only there 1 night and didn't go out.
Safety: I thought it was Premier Inn policy not to put lone female travellers on the ground floor but this is where I was.
Walkability: Nowhere much to walk. Right beside a main road.
Food and drinks: Next door restaurant is a Hungry Horse. Not part of Whitbread chain so no meal deals for dinner. Again a bit dated. Food and service OK. My evening spoilt by kids running amok.
Noteworthy details: Staff lovely. Very polite and friendly on reception.

Very dated hotel, maintenance needed throughout. "Power shower" was far from powerful. Room contained a total of 3 power sockets, none next to the bed. TV very very small, barely watchable from the bed.
Rooms: The rooms were an absolute bare minimum. If you want to charge devices, bring long cables and extension cables.
It was clean.
Nearby activities: There's a hungry horse pub directly opposite which also provides the breakfast service.
Walkability: Very little within easy walking distance.
Food and drinks: Standard hungry horse pub. Fine, nothing special.
Noteworthy details: The unlimited cooked breakfast is not a buffet, so be prepared to decide exactly what you want up front.

Stayed here for three nights. Everything that is essential we had. perfect hot shower. The rooms were lovely and warm and the bedding and bed was very comfy, clean . We had a lovely member of staff called Sue who helped us check in and was overall lovely and kind.
Rooms: Clean
Nearby activities: Pub for food just over the road
Safety: Feel safe
Food and drinks: Its opposite to a pub which serves food on an evening and breakfast for fantastic price.

Rather tired rooms but bed still lovely and comfortable. Downstairs in hotel requested as I'm currently having some mobility issues but I still couldn't access shower even though lots of grab rails, just not positioned very well. Excellent helpful and friendly staff....

Clean rooms and friendly service. Quiet nights. Good parking. Pub food on site. Not the most modern but everything works and beds are comfy. The only one slight issue is there are limited sockets and two are also used for kettle and hairdryer. The TV is plugged into a third. With the amount of technology that most people need to charge nowadays I'd advise bringing an adapter of some kind. One with 2 or 3 USB points would be useful.
Rooms: Not the most modern but NOT run down either. Heating. We stayed in winter so not sure how it will be in hot weather. There is a tall fan in the room. Perfectly adequate but if you want to charge more than a couple of phones bring a multi way adapter or USB multiple connection plug.
Food and drinks: Greene King opposite with lots of seating and a choice of pub food at good prices.

Very friendly staff. Room clean and bed very comfortable.
Christmas card and complimentary chocolate a nice touch - thank you
Rooms: Basic, but clean and very comfy bed.
Nearby activities: Plenty of local attractions. Locomotion at Darlington is well worth visiting.
