This store needs to put some lights on. Its pitch black. No wonder WH Smiths atw closing down, customers cannot see the stock. Mentioned the darkness ro a member of staff, did she care.....NO!!!!!

One member of staff on the post office counter is unapproachable, miserable and downright rude, I suggest she goes on a customer service course or retire. I do find the other staff polite and friendly when I've been in previously.

Staff never smile, don't say hello or good morning some are inpolite thier customer/people skills are the worse. They never open on time I've waited upto 15 minutes after the shop is meant to open. The carpet looks like its been there since WHSmith was created in 1828 the shelfs are cluttered and the whole layout is out dated. The way I was spoken to by one member of the staff was the worse I've ever encounted in any store. I HAD to give 1 star but I didnt want to.

Nothing to fault in store. Click and collect and ordering online however, is useless. Went to get an order (didn't get an email that it was in store, but it had been a week since I ordered it), staff said if I didn't get an email then it won't be in, but one was nice enough to check and it was there. I had an order also shipped home and it was badly damaged, took nearly a month to get a full refund (including postage, which they weren't going to give me).

I find the staff to be unhelpful, dismissive and sometimes rude. I mostly go there as now the post office is in there.Today was no exception, no please or thank you and the staff member stacking shelves paid no attention to the safety of customers (many elderly) trying to pass by stocks and packaging laid around

My mother attended this shop yesterday to use the Post Office. When she asked a member of staff where the post box was she was told 'see that big red box over there, that's it' in a sarcastic voice. I suggest this member of staff attends some customer service training and I hope when she is 81 someone treats her with the same lack of respect and compassion! Will not be using this store again.
