We are frequent river island customers and we as a family will purchase big range of cloths for all our family members.
I?ve just visited the store (09/02/2025, 13.12pm) I?m very disappointed the way the member of staff acted.
First the offer for all clothing of the discount aisle was not added as its says. The store has said that it?s 20% off extra on all discount cloths and I?ve make sure to pick and asked the staff before I decided to purchase.
Unfortunately the extra 20% off was not added on some of the cloths that picked and I paid for it because I have to check the receipt before I ask.
I totally understand, this because sometimes this won?t be added digitally on the system and it will causes chaos.
So once I found out that I have paid more than I supposed. I went to the till and I was served by another staff from another till and she was completely against me and it?s because I picked swim wear and the extra 20% off will not be applied.
Also some of my items that picked the original price was applied though there was a red label saying the reduction price and the staff has no answers for at all ?
They have processed the refund but I was just not happy how the staff acted.
All my questions is if your saying swim wear are not cloths why isn?t there any clause for this ?
Many will get confused for this so called extra discounts that they implied.

Been shopping here for years how ever today I had a difficult task I had to find something smart casual for my Xmas party at a rather posh venue me having no fashion sense at all I asked a young lady called Maddie for some help she went above and beyond she picked me out an entire outfit shoes jeans jacket nice shirt nothing was to much trouble for her she was really friendly and really helpful will definitely be back again in future with confidence I can ask the staff for help thanks again?
