Like some of the clothes, something different. Food range is pretty much the same as other discount stores.

Plenty of bargains to be had ATM, A go to for all oven ware and cleaning products. Leggings are excellent quality and value at £6 for two pairs. Thumbs up from me ?

I know that there's a cost of living crisis going on at the moment, but I take issue with the place retaining the name 'Poundland' when 75% of the items are now more than £1.You go in looking for a bargain and come out paying the same price as you would at Home Bargains, B&M or One Below (ironically now also charging more than one pound AND the till receipts are now branded 'One Beyond'). It's a little misleading.Everyday essentials range from £1-2. Toothpastes, crisps and sweets tend to be about £1.25 instead of £1.A pack of 24 Kodak batteries are now £2 whereas they were £1 before Covid. They also don't last half as long as they used to. Bottled drinks that used to be two for £1 for many years are now than £1 each.I wouldn't go out of my way to go into town to visit Poundland when the prices have gone up to Home Bargains and B&M levels. I'd just go there whilst I'm at Teesbay Retail Park. There aren't many reasons to visit Middleton Grange Shopping Centre and it seems that I now have one fewer reason. The shop is always well stocked and pristine.I HATE that they've gone down the self service route. Those machines are notoriously bad and always give a variety of error messages for no reason at all. They add time and frustration to the checkout process and still needs a person to override them. I'm glad they at least put people on the tills when the queue becomes massive.Should rebranded to AfewPoundsland.
